周华健 said in an interview that this Japanese song was performed at an Asia Pacific music festival years ago. His record company bought the right to the song, fill in Chinese lyric so when he sings it, he can tell everyone that he took part in this festival. No one at the time predicted that it would be such a hit in the Chinese specking part of Asia. Acknowledgment always made to the song writers. No prof. singer would sing someone's songs without paying /checking the rights to the song.
If you love this song, I think you should definitely try listening to the original Japanese version (song title is "Hana", meaning flower in Japanese), sang by Satoko Ishimine (one of many different Japanese singers to have sang this piece). I think you'll like it. This song is originally a beautiful and very emotional song, and not as upbeat as the Emil Chou cover version, which seems to be very popular in Chinese communities. Pls. do try "Hana" by Satoko Ishimine or Rimi Natsukawa :)
emil chow sang the original chinese version. The japanese singers did a cover of this song to reach out to the japanese listeners. So, this sing was originally from emil chow
"Shokichi Kina is to Okinawan music what Bob Marley was to reggae: The Man. Kina, born in Okinawa in 1948, is perhaps best known as the composer of "Subete no Hito no Kokoro ni Hana wo (Blooming Flowers in the Hearts of All)," an undisputed Japanese pop-music classic that's best-known simply as "Hana"."
i don't think all that is standing are just chinese students, there are also some jap ones, look closely at their facial features. and besides, not every jap's fav group is w-inds ya know............!

Yo ppl, this song is originated in JAPAN.
I mean it's a fucking good song, both original and the one sang i nthis video.
