I love how the greatness of humanity is portrayed; even if our lives are nothing more than fireworks in the immensity of the universe, we decide to enflame ourselves like lightning just to breath one more second. One of the best parts of the movie just the fact that he knew and was walking to his own death, jumping onto the playload with no hope of going back. having all those 4 minutes to think to himself that hes going to have to sacrifice himself, intense.

@AdamHolm I felt it worked really well in Kick-Ass, their own version of couse, which is actually the reason i found sunshine. Without Kick-Ass, sunshine would still go unnoticed by me. BUT, when The Walking Dead tried using it, it was out of place and terrible for their scene. Not sure where else it has been used.

The only thing that bothered me about this movie was that they had artificial gravity rings, but when Capa went to jump, he fell even though he was in a gravitationally neutral zone; ergo he should have been weightless. besides that, absolutely wonderful film.

@anulburst On the very front of the Icarus II, theres a heat shield that blocks most of the heat and light coming off of the sun. That, combined with the heat resistant suit he was wearing, kept him alive during the jump
