It is true that the Buddha abandoned his wife and baby but they were well taken care of by the extended family. The Buddha left them as he has compassion to the suffering of the world and know that such family ties does not last forever and his family will also suffer sickness, old age and death. I do not think it is easy for the Buddha to make this decision if he has no love for all. After all the Buddha did make up by teaching Ralula well and show him the path out of suffering forever.
take a lesson from that,so actually living in the world means suffering and attachment that you need to cut off so you can be free and out from samsara world.parents,wife,son,daughter,family related people,friends are all connected to you due to karmic cause,but you'll left the world alone don't you???even if you attached to all the people surround you,wont save you or lead you to a better place because the answer is not there,everybody is doing the same thing isn't it?
