  • Anyone know Shelley full name I'd luv to see more of her singing on YT.

  • I have no clue who this Naz Jam dude is...but thats Adam Gussow for F sake. That other dude is so self absorbed its not even funny. If you have two harp players on stage at the same time, band dynamics are so huge. Over zealous harmonica players are what has made my road so difficult!!! Try playing acoustic....let it fuckn breathe!!! Kim JR.........

  • This is literally the first time I have seen a woman on youtube or anywhere sing the blues. Pleasantly surprised!

  • What is really sweet - of course they are all excellent musicians - it is obvious that Adam can play circles around the guy but he has the class not too when invited onto someone else's stage. Another rare gift & props to Adam. Naz has great tone & his wife can sure belt out a tune. Thanks for posting, rbeetsme.

  • I love Adams style !!!

  • adam is wearing glasses!!!!!!!!!!!! xD

  • There is way too much harpmonica talent for one stage here.

  • Adam is really good at playing the upper octave notes....lots of other guys don't play much after the 6 hole on the harp.

  • I replay this occasionally, such a good time sitting on stage with Adam, Naz, Jason and Shelley. This is one of my favorite videos.

  • Gussow is the best in the world. period.

He can do the fat tone tone thing but can be so so funky as well...

  • Maybe it's because he's a guitarist as well.....

    Woody

  • No way, Naz has BIG tone!

  • that bald guy sux

  • Coolest solo ever from Adam Gussow.

And tha voice of that woman. I haven't heard anything like this before. Devastating (in a positive sense).

  • I love the hipshake of my cute little Weed!

    Aloha..........SQB

  • Poor old Adam... that fat man couldn't read the band at all. Arrgh

  • Too right.

    God loves a tryer,

    I, however, don't.

  • that woman has one hell of a voice

  • Feel the beat and swing to the time...stay healthy eat right and say your prayers...amen!

  • Yo Adam won this one

  • See you all at SPAH.

  • Adam Gussow...You´re the Man!

  • well played, sir

  • Its amazing... i'm finding more and more that there is a difference between learning what notes Adam is hitting - and really feeling what notes he is hitting and how he progresses his solo's. Picking up on the subtleties of his playing is a lifelong journey.

  • Gussow is the best ! :D

  • He deserves SIX stars!

  • Adam gussow is one FUNKY PLAYER full of technique and inspiration. MAN , you are truly awesome!!!!!5 stars for sure.

  • these guys leave all the rest in the shade.

  • dont forget about Buddy Greene...

  • Naz is my hero!

  • Thats what you call serious all round lung power

  • I love it

  • I don't know if there was something I liked more than what Gussow plays in this clip. The sound, the ease and the richness of his music is awesome. I want to know this!

  • its not just how hard you blow it.its about making music and gussow is oh so sweet

  • Adam gussow knows how to swing!!!

He plays the harp like a sax! just great

  • Adam Gussow . . . incredible man . . . Now I got something to practice. With this one he gave me some inspiration.

  • You Yanks have all the fun. That was something else.Great harps and just good old fashioned fun.We are evolving slowly down here and one day our harp players will pop up.Thanks!

  • Where you from?..we all got blues in our blood JC

  • ADAM you totally kicked ass!!!

  • Is the same Adam Gusso who has a ph.d in English from Princeton and is a prof at Ole Miss? Jason Ricci is from planet awesome.

    itzik basman

  • Yes, the world famous Prof. Adam (Satan and Adam)

  • I saw Satan and Adam live, now that you mention it. Satan was a wild man from Harlem, I think, or one of the 5 boroughs in any event.

I saw the prof's book made out of his thesis, I think or I may be confusing it with a book he did on life on the blues road. The latter was definitely a piece he wrote for the Atlantic or Harpers or the New Yorker. Thanks for the info, any way.

  • I had the opportunity to spend some time with both Adam and Naz at the above event, both are killer players and great guys! Check out Shelley, Naz's wife, terrific blues singer, Naz sent me her latest CD, I listen to her often. Didn't get the cahance to sit down with Jason this time, but you are right, one of the best out there right now!

  • I live in Toronto and there's lots of good music around, though not as much in clubs as there used to be, and I don't get around much anymore.

    Cheers,

    Itzik Basman

  • Painful juxtiposition.

    Great band...

  • Yes. This is awesome.

There's a lot of energy and rhythm.

    I like it.

  • I must have been standing three feet away from this spot!

  • Wow, that was awesome, just can't rally come up with the words for that experience Adam, just amazing thanks!
