Most of the 14 tracks on the album, 8 of which were original Lennon-McCartney songs, were first takes. A 15th song, Hold Me Tight, was also recorded, but not used.
No overdubs, no mistakes left to fix in post-production. That's how tight, how professional they were. The oldest of them (Ringo) was 22. George had yet to turn 20.

Cut and paste digitally to mask mistakes or use pitch correctors for those who really SUCK as singers and only have the "image" without the real talent. The Beatles are the true definition of iconic. From Paul's bass to John's glasses, everything about them has been copied or parodied by fans out of respect and love. They'll be remembered forever. I can't think of any bands or artists off the top of my head that will be remembered as fondly as The Beatles in years to come.
@inuyasha491 ...good for you, kid. May I suggest piano lessons for starters and some vocal lessons. Pitch needs to be dead on if you want to be a singer (without that auto-tune crap). You need to learn how to sing harmony also. That is VERY difficult but well worth the time it takes to learn. Then grab you a good acoustic 6 string and get to work. You'll want to learn a few tunes by your favorite artists. Eventually you'll stop listening as it tends to interfere with originality. GOOD LUCK!!!

That guy ringo was shaking around was Alun Owen the guy who wrote a Hard Day's Night. He came and observed them for a week or two and then wrote that scipt based on the personalities he observed. I'd say he totally captured them.

@MyStarshipSubmarine I've started pointing out all the songs using auto-tune and cannot believe how many there are. Just about everyone's using it. That sucks. No one compares to the Beatles. Certainly no one who has com along in the last 25 years or so.

I'm 59 and remember the excitement of seeing The Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show,when I was 13, as well as all their tv appearances.There was lots of music on television back then. Now all we have is American Idol, which I detest. I'm happy I grew up in the golden age of music and television..

@MyStarshipSubmarine You're looking in the wrong places. Tv and the Radio are for the casual listener now. If you love music now you gotta look into the indie world. big Record labels are less into well crafted music and more into a marketable group of dudes and of course "cha ching." Who could blame them in this economy. They're playing it safe.

There will also always be people writing and playing songs. It is the same today, in fact the live music scene is probably stronger today than it ever has been. You're being disingenuous and pompous.

I think they are recording And I Love Her during those shots of Paul's hand playing bass, John making faces while playing guitar, and Paul standing at the mic. If you watch the And I Love Her video on here, John's strumming pattern and Paul's picking movements look the same.
