There were these commercials saying everyone was going to get recycling bins,

sometime later we got them, then one snowy day my friend was over and it was a snow storm wind and snow came down hard so me and my friend pretended that my moms car was firing snow at us so we hid in the recycling bin

today the weather channel says that west virgina was getting frost and flakes!

Now make a gridwork of rebars on top of your fortress and space them about 3 inches from the packed snow. Run them around and up and down on a cris cross pattern. Cover that with 6 inches of concrete. When the snow melts you will have a monolithic dome home.
