  • You guys have an 8 week course now and 'Warrior Week"? Wow! Far different than the 6 week course that didn't include a 'Warrior Week" when I went through USAF BMT back in 1982. There was no 'Airman's Coin Ceremony' either.

  • TOO OLD!

  • I remember the days of training in the air force, my instructor scared the shit out of me like the instructor in FMJ but, that was the 80s

  • so you go and enlist, and when target practice starts.....

drill sgt: alright ladies take those slingshots and show those targets what we got!!!

recruit: but, sir! slingshots sir?! what about assault rifles sir?!

drill sgt: "sign" "tear rolls down sgt's chic" we dont have money for rifles, son.

  • ...umm ya i wish i had a vacation too. but no we had 13 weeks of actual training. Then we all go through SOI which is either 4 or 9 weeks more of hell. Oh i love your ear pro that covers your whole ears not our cut in half foam rubber ear pro and your saluting inside and stress cards, sooooo convenient. have a nice day while you ship me to my next field so i can kill. Be sure to not forget to turn on your heated seat. Have a wonderfull day.

  • Was he doing a push up? What happen to the 341? I'm glad I went in when I did, the best 6 1/2 week camp I ever had. LOL

  • People trying to smoke the Air Force really don't have a clue what this branch of service does!!!! Yes NERDS do join the Air Force, yes they have higher academic standards than any other branch (except Coast Guard) I think, yes you can be an E-5 in the AF and be a Colonel in the Army (lol), and yes they aren't as tough as the MARINE CORPS ( well, 99.99999% of them). People forget there are SPEC-OPS too, and fuckin Paratroopers aren't fucking pussies. BTW - FUCKING OLD ASS VIDEO.

  • Wow, Airforce drill instructors are too nice. Not enough discepline. Army strong. Nuff said.

  • @tonepaw well the few and the proud...NUFF SAID

  • @kaskenuchiha1 RANGERS LEAD THE WAY HOOAH!

  • @tonepaw wrong place

  • @paulbabbitt it was a reply to kaskenuchiha1.

  • @tonepaw who cares???? We all serve the same purpose and that is this country.

  • y is lackland so famous my afjrotc goes there every year i dont get it

  • @Melendr3z because its the ONLY place that the Air Force has for basic training

  • @SuperTwins2009 WOW i didnt know that thanks

  • So outdated.

  • Watching this might seem intimidating but following even the seemingly ridiculous orders conditions yourself to follow orders without thinking twice. This will probably save your life

  • @nazra7 ummmm intimidating.... your instructors never even raised thier voice

  • @kaskenuchiha1 You don't need to raise your voice to be intimidating.

  • Leaving for BMT on July 5th, and I'm still 17..

  • @Benjuhhmin im leaving the same day dude

  • Chair Force bootcamp, learn to: - Sharpen pencils - Sit in chairs - Staple paper work

Continue to be : - Scrawny - Nerdy

  • @pwnzilla93 learn to sharpen pencils,sit in chairs,staple paperwork ... continue to be:- scrawny - nerdy - Your DAD : ) .

  • @lancemorganmitchell Thanks bro. Im gonna need it, and the same to you.

  • @lancemorganmitchell Im gonna be leaving for Lackland at the end of June. Its gonna be fuckin hot. TT_TT

  • @TheJake1005 i live in san antonio, it hot as fuckkkk, getting over 100 at times. i leave for bmt in september.

  • @cabfab6 I live over here in Georgia and it is humid as fuck, but I get the feeling that San Antonio is gonna be worse due to the fact that it is gonna be dry and hot. Good luck to you btw.

  • Good luck to everyone!

  • OH YEAH I LOVE THE AIR FORCE

TRYING TO BECOME A TEST PILOT OR SPY PLANE PILOT FOR THE USAF

  • can't help but get watery eyes, so proud of my boyfriend.

  • Brit here currently trying to join the Royal Air Force, interesting to see what the differences and similarities are over the pond.

    Certainly found it interesting.

  • @stormwell

haha yeah man. american here, shipping off to basic soon. gonna be stationed in lakenheath (england).

  • @explizidace Alright, thats pretty much just down the road from me and I've visited once back in 2000 when I was in the Army Cadets. Picked the right day for some Drill Competition which we hastily entered into.

  • @stormwell

Ah, very nice. I hear British civilians don't take a liking to American soldiers. We actually got briefed while in processing to stay in numbers if we go to the bars; especially in Germany.

  • @explizidace I'm afraid there are some arseholes out there, some British servicemen visiting their wounded comrades at a hospital here in uniform had verbal abuse from some of the locals.

Locally there have been incidents with both British and US servicemen getting into fights at the various clubs and bars, one chap from the Household Cavalry went down for murder after a stabbing. But that tends to be an exception than the rule. Hopefully you won't have any problems over here.

  • @gunner0six Is there any time to masturbate during basic training?

  • @DWALK916 Sure just be sure to bring a battle buddy.

  • @packerbacker16 Well yeah i was gonna sneak a couple quick ones in while on the crapper

  • it was not hard. just keep a low profile. 1977 (aug)

  • I would do it all over again

  • 5 AM? 0330 is sounds more accurate.

  • @gunny0321 up at 0400, in the dorm again at 2100. Hooyah!

  • @gunny0321 0330 is when they go to sleep

  • blue ropes everywhere on this bitch

  • wow it actually looks tougher than todays army

  • This is a lot different than the Basic I took in Sept. to Dec. 1950! We had old wooden barracks that had holes in the walls and floors. We froze our asses off some nights. Did you ever try to scrub wooden floors to make them clean? The lockers were so old most of them had no locks. We had no graduation ceremonies or Family Days. We just got our orders and left. Of course, we were in the middle of the Korean War, so things were different. Things are a lot better today. Bad as it was, I miss it!

  • I think the being in any military branch is the greatest honor in the world. It is not just a career, it is a lifestyle.

  • its funny everyone forgets about the Coast Guard and the Merchant Marines... THEY ARE APART OF THE MILITARY ALSO

  • And it gets tough when? Lol jk but it must be one hell of a transition from that to PJ indoc training

  • tb;dw

  • guy with long hair????????? WTF????? 2:42 walking down the stairs

  • @Zeppelinkix66 that"s a woman dude, but sure does look like a man lol

  • having military parants trained me for this so well

  • Man, I miss basic training.

  • @siLusPlaysHard You seriously MISS basic training? Or were you just joking?

  • I went through the 8 week program but it seems pretty much the same... except we didn't get a mess hall in "warrior week". Just straight MRE's, and they wouldn't let us eat any candy inside if there was some..

  • It's a 1.5 mile run now.

  • fuck the ABU

  • @SpaceGhost2047

good luck, remember to work as a team with your flight basic is all about learning teamwork, just be patient though you will have a few undesirables

  • @StStrife good luck man

  • Respond to this video... i miss basic but it isn't as good as the real air force

  • I think I watched this in the recruiter's office when I was waiting.

  • we do something higher than ourselves, at least most do, some are in because they had no idea what to do, try signing away the next 6 to 8 years... and see how much changes around you... you'll come back home on leave to see your old friends doing exactly what they were when you left, you'll see people going no where fast, its bittersweet, not for everyone, but the best decision i ever made. I saw the trouble side, I paid a unjust price, you want answers, hit me up i can help out good luck

  • @StStrife Im goin in next year man...

  • zone within minutes, and civilians... do not talk shit about anything yes we are trained to serve, fight, protect, but we give up many liberties that you take advantage of, and you have never served it is best that you make no comments in the negative form for you just do not know what you are talking about. we don't make what we should, my job in the civilian world would place me in the 6 figure pay easily, but the truth is... we do it because we believe in serving

  • All in all the inter-branch rivalry is stupid, we all serve a purpose, been to iraq and afgan... and you know what i spent more time working with an army unit than i did working on my specific job with the af, the lines are now blurred, we all have boots on the ground, the air force has a heavy amount, comparable to the army, after all less than 5% of the airforce is a air crew member, we took over the Arm's fighter jets, navy has theirs as do the marines, but only AF and MC can readily be in

  • a lot has changed since this video was posted... I went through when the 8.5 week (truly is 9) was first initiated... i had a leg up though i went through norwich university where it was 8 months of situations far worse than what they put you through at BMT, my buddy who went to the MC said Norwich made it easy, to me BMT was a pleasant break from reality, but also be warned it is not something to laugh at I saw my flight brothers almost get discharged for petty stupid shit

  • Old video. Damn. No more BDUs or Marshmallow pants. I love my marshmallow pants. Plus now BMT is 8.5 weeks with a full week of BEAST which is mandatory, unlike prior training cycles.

  • what happens after graduation are you sent out right away?

  • @Lucky7Nib You get sent out to your first duty station assignment depending where your job is needed.

  • @Lucky7Nib,

BMT, then Tech-school, the duty station. Tech-school length is different depending on your assigned job.

  • I leave for lackland in novemeber I'm so nervous but excited

  • @thetruebattlefront Awesome and thank you for your future service. It will be a cake walk once it is said and done.

  • @thetruebattlefront,

Learn your reporting statement first and foremost. It's much harder to say it when you are being yelled out. Practice it over and over. And don't say it too fast or you'll stumble.

Eat small breakfast or you'll waste most of it. I made my own egg-hashbrown-sandwiches; one egg, one piece of bread, one hashbrown. Chased down with one orange juice. Eat quickly.

And when they have you clean the dorm. They mean CLEAN! They can't find one eye-brow hair on a window ledge!

  • @thetruebattlefront

dont be nervous! bmt isnt that bad. if u have any questions , ill answer them for you in detail. i just got out of bmt 3 weeks ago.

  • @UNOfreak i have a question, after u passed the asvab..how long after did u go to BMT?

  • @thetruebattlefront dont be nervous. bmt isnt that bad. if u have any Q's, ask. i just got out of bmt 3 weeks ago. ill tell ya in detail whats going on there.

  • sounds like people are wondering what the Air Force Emblem stands for..

Wings - exactly as they mean or stripes of the men and women enlisted

    Circle - Global Air Dominance

3 patches under the circle - Three Core vaules of the Air Force

  • pentagram with circle in the middle and wings....those r satanic symbols

  • @YAHWEHisperfect Hail satan

  • @AdVictoriam1

u don't know what u r saying...just repeating what the devil is speaking to ur soul...

  • @YAHWEHisperfect its a star as in U.S star on the flag.Wings for flying ya know cuz a plane needs wings, Hence the AIR force.I cant confirm the circle though

  • @ComedicChaos13

why would they pick the pentagram for the flag? pentagrams r used all over the world and hav a spiritual meaning....planet venus makes a movement over the period of years which draws a pentagram...

  • awsome video thanks man,

  • Just to be picky - at 6:15 the speaker says graduating BMT is a promotion to the rank of Airman. This is not true. For a four year enlistee, you do not promote to the rank of Airman(E-2) until 6 months of time in service. Though you are now "called" an airman as opposed to trainee, you were technically at the rank of Airman Basic your whole time in basic training.

  • THEY START AT 5 AM!!!! Fuck when i was on Parris Island we got up at fucking 3 am!

  • isnt it 9 weeks now?

  • its pretty sad that these guys are allowed to be called "military" when their hardest thing they do is take a 100 question test.

  • @skew06 If that's all you seen in this video then I don't know why your're allowed to be called "human"...

  • Blah Blah Blah Bah Blah. far out dudes: WAR HOOO WHAT IS IT GOOD FOR ABOSOLUTELY NOTHING.

  • i cant wait to go watching theses videos get me so excited

  • @Beamster420 army infantry go for 17 weeks

  • I hate when people talk shit about any of the military branches. I hate it even more that 90 percent of the people talking shit are civilians who don't know anything about the military.

  • @jesus1443 All 5 Armed Forces branches are universally structured the same for many of the fundamentals of military service. Military life is military life. However, we all have unique experiences. Unless they are closely knitted together the whole time, no two servicemen/-women share the exact same experience.

I served in the AF and I know better. These said civilians need to pick a branch and do some time before doing that with me. >: /

  • @jesus1443 i couldn't agree more. People who don't know anything about the military need to shut up, until they learn about it or something

  • @jesus1443 So true, people don't know what does it feel to serve this country ... I'm 16 yo right now but when I reach my 18's ill go to the USAF. Pretty excited to go.

  • @jesus1443 agreed more like 99%

  • @jesus1443 Yet the beautiful thing about that is that they have every right in the world to talk shit, thanks to the people they are talking shit about.

  • Comparing branches is like playing rock paper scissors (sorta). none is no better than the other.

  • this is so old. the academy looks differnet now. the bedromm does not look like that and the uniforms dont look like that anymore

  • I see not a whole lot has changed, except the fatigue uniforms are gone! (Went through basic BMTS 3702 in March-April 1984)

  • Wow, CATM was at Warrior Week?? Training sure has changed. Rainbows, hooyah!

  • i was in the army, but after seeing this i guess i cant say too many bad things about the air force. i'd rather be an airman than a seamen haha

  • i dont see how they can learn anything in that short amount of time. learning 20 new things a day is pointless because a week after graduating half that stuff they will forget. then they go onto their job training and learn a whole new set of things and forget the things they learned at BMT as a basic airman

  • i leave sept. 28 and cant wait!!!

  • @takadirtnapp I leave Monday hahaha!

  • @racer07 well excuse me for explaining how things USED to be while I was in, kinda hard to explain it any other way. Since you got it all down and know the former situation, carry on then

  • I went through there in 1954. Camping outback was called bivouac.

  • i was there in 1974.....we did not get to camp out back then....3710 bmts....flight 17..

  • @gij0e83 GO AIR FORCE. the army is for the mindless.one need only engage a soldier in conversation about something on their level such as 'how many crayons are in a box' to ascertain that even THAT topic poses challenges for them.

  • @colors1387 I'm not going to bash any branch, but when I was at MEPS to take my test last week, the Army seemed to have many exceptions to rules that the Air Force, Navy and Marines followed.

  • @colors1387 Every branch is needed! Marines, Army, Navy, and the Air Force are all equally important! They all have a critical part in the defense of our nation! Lets not compare branches! That is pointless and gets no one anywhere!!!

  • @jaredjb101 tell that to gij0e83 who initially posted 3 weeks ago.mine was only a response.i do agree with you but ask yourself a question,jared101;why is there so much negative posting on the AF?we dont flame on other branches but they flame us.why is that?have you posted similar messages to those branch members?

  • @jaredjb101 I disagree. The Army is the most important as humans live on land and the Army is the best at control of the land. The Navy is the second most important as control of the seas inhibits friendly use of the sea and prohibits its hostile use. The Air Force would be third most important as control of the skies in modern warfare correlates to modern victory. USMC would be 4th as the US Army can do their jobs, not discrediting their usefulness.

  • @jaredjb101 dont forget CG and BP ;)

  • @jaredjb101 the navy has more planes than the airforce

  • @McCrackenETSN not true the Air Force has 5,500 aircraft while the Navy has 3,700

  • @jaredjb101 You forgot Coast Guards... and if you count them then Army and Air National Guard. Plus lets not forget law enforcements, medical services, and firefighters because they help protect communities. They all make our nation great.

  • @jaredjb101 dont forget the coast guard

  • @gij0e83 You're an idiot, I've been in the Air Force for six years and been to Afghanistan 4 times and you have no idea how many times the weak minded saved the Armys ass

  • @societycat thats not nesacarily true. any one reading this that is joining, if i could give you one word of advice, do not sign for open general.

  • 324 knights!

  • airmen racist so change it for women, airwomen.

  • @pwnzilla93 you mean sexist lol ?

  • @psploco damn lol holy shit that was blonde of me.. Im not even blonde..

  • @pwnzilla93 your an idiot. the word you were looking for was discriminatory. I'm not saying I disagree or agree with your statement.

  • @pwnzilla93 how about airperson or airpersonnell?and could you change from womens lib to mens lib?and at night clubs can we have guys night?can ladies ask a man out?AND PAY?can fathers day be celebrated with as much fanfare as mothers day?can prostate cancer get the same publicity as breast cancer?

  • im planning to joing the air force y 3 or 4 weeks i will take my asvab. i hope to make a good one

  • thanks ya'll

  • One question, do you have the ability to choose a job you want to do? Such as security forces.

  • @SLCHSB12 Yes you do as long as your asvab AFQT Score is 50 or higher and your General score is high enough. (Security Forces land under General.) They ask you to pick about 3-4 jobs and they will call you as soon as a job is available. You can skip but i don't recommend it b/ the jobs are low.

  • if thats the job you want, you're pretty much gonna end up with SF

  • Yes get it in writing when you talk to your recruiter

  • 1 more thing, if you do decide to go, make sure you get your afsc (job that you will be doing after you get done with bmt) in writing. i mean that. if you are promised a sign on bonus or a special job that you request GET IT IN WRITING BEFORE YOU EVER GO because I didnt and others i was with didnt. this ensures you get what was promised and if they cant give it to you, you are allowed to leave service by law. (had a friend in bmt that did, happened to him)

  • you are not promised anything. and you can't just decide to leave unless you are mentally unfit or hurt yourself badly.

  • just make sure you are ready to devote to a different way of life for atleast a few months. once you get done with bmt and your tech school training you pretty much go back to civilian life standards but you are still on a tight schedule. it WILL change you forever. it DOES instill things in you. It WILL teach you to pay attention to detail. VERY VERY MUCH I CANT STRESS THAT ENOUGH. i would say go for but know its not easy but very much worth it.

  • @unleasheth well said.

  • your recruiter. they all lie its their job. instead just talk to people who have been in. dont expect alot of pay cuz your first term around (2-4 years) you wont make hardly any. you will have to pay for your own food and clothing (even though they really dont tell you this, its supplemented out of your pay) you will hate bmt with a passion but it will change you. you will have moments where you cant go on, but you will be with others who will encourage you i can tell you for sure.

  • dude, a lotta shit has changed since you were in the USAF. depending on if you're married, you could make 27,000+ as a Airmen Basic(the lowest rank)-Airmen(second lowest rank) within 10 months. with BAH allowance(an extra $600 per pay check to help you buy food and pay bills), you could easily make $50,000+ a year as an Airmen 1st Class(third lowest rank). For a single guy, $22,000(first year) with nothing to pay off, is A LOT!!

  • SuperReddevil9,

im not going to promise you wont get sent to iraq or afghanistan but i can tell you the chances are pretty low. i left air force in 2003 before all the war stuff really started going on though so i cant tell you for sure. i can say that you will always remember bmt and even your first duty station for the rest of your life. and you will make friends like no other in the air force. you all strive to help each other. my best friends i met them in bmt. however.....do not listen to

  • actually i'm thinking to join .... but in the future r they gonna sent me to Iraq or Ifghanstan ?

  • whoa, whoa, do not, i repeat, DO NOT LISTEN TO THAT UNLEASHETH. i'm in it right now. not that dude who has said a whole bunch of crap and lies to you.

  • Theres always a chance, you have to live with that.

  • can someone please answer this? im planning to join the USAF im about to go into high school, and im wondering what happens AFTER BMT? where do u go then?

  • Your still a kid you dont need to worry about this. Chances are your going to change your mind anyway. The Air force is not what it seems to someone your age. Youll understand when your an adult. Anyways after BMT you go to Tech school which teaches how to do your job or MOS that you chose when you signed your military contract.

  • @xxGPZshotgunxx

after bmt you go on to do your job training

  • u dont have to be U.S. Citizen to join any! branch of the US Military.. back then when Clark Air Force Base was still open in Angeles City, local filipinos were allowed to join.. but not anymore, since its closed now..

  • This is true. I have a friend in Canada and her boyfriend (also a Canadian) is in the Air Force.

  • 1 and a half

  • is there any age limit upon joining the airforce?

  • i think its 27

  • i might still have a chance, im still 24, but will they accept foreign applicants? im from philippines though and a really want to joint the US airforce. is it possible?

  • Comment removed

  • Haven't you seen those mass swearing in ceremonies of poeple already enlisted in or the posthumous citizenships granted to KIAs?

  • talk to your local recruiter and find out yourself

  • i think u must at least have legal residency. but my recruiter told me today that they air force wasnt accepting any other people for the rest of the year, with the exception of law enforcement.

  • @BurninC4rtrage, lol, yeah, I know we all play for team USA, so at the end of the end I still praise everyone in every branch. I just can't help but have that jarhead mentality based on what i've been through. Semper Fi

  • @cherry8605 as a 4 year air force vet i can say for sure im glad we have you jarhead nutcases on our side not the enemies side lol

  • im leaving for basic 18 may 2010, anyone else shipping out that day

  • @romphilly I am. Perhaps we'll be in the same flight. Im going in for S.E.R.E specialist.

  • i leave may 18 security forces what about u

  • No Way i Leave May 18 For Load Master. =]

  • When did you enter the DEP? I entered on October 23, 2009 and I put loadmaster as my #1 choice. Its now Feb. and my recruiter still hasn't given me a job or ship date..
