The change is that Obama is willing to do what is necessary to win the election you nitwits.Its not about ideological purity its about brining the troops home.Kerry took that money and when the swiftboating started he had no way to defend himself.A GOP that showed no honor in 2004 now expects Obama to foolishly rely on such honor in 2008. Gimmie a break.Obama just showed he's shrewd and I want that in a president.The ability to size up an opponent is a useful skill and Obama just showed why.

The differnce here is Obama keeps going on and on and on about 'change', and His supporters keep going on about this new type of politic. I see no difference whatsoever. Add to this it is a barefaced lie, yet His followers have developed a blind spot for His lack of change. Same old, same old, nothing new here, the only change he wants is down the back of your sofa.

To me "Change" is getting away from ideas like "pre emptive war" or permanent bases in the mid east or unilateral action when the rest of the world is against us. Another area were Obama will provide change is getting away from the discredited and dangerous idea of Supply Side Economics. The idea that permanently lowering taxes for the wealthy, somehow creates jobs in America is no longer credible. It may have been, before we moved our industrial base offshore. But, now, the wealthy ( for the most part) are investing overseas. Further, McCain proposes tax policy that actually gives incentives to move production overseas (seriously). (continued)

The neo cons keep labeling the democrats "tax and spend" But,a good case could be made the republicans have become the party of "borrow and spend". The debt that we are running up with China, while we fight a war and give tax cuts simultaneously, does nothing but saddle our children and grand children with a huge tax bill. They will pay HIGHER TAXE, so the wealthy of our generation can have rates lower than at any time in modern US history.

Then there is health care. Check the recent figures. We no longer provide better care than the countries with "socialized" medicine.Our waits are often as long, and our quality is no longer the best. Our system DOES NOT WORK for nearly 1/3 of the population. I am not just talking the uninsured. I am also talking about the under insured. Most people in my family work in the health care industry and they all think the system is built around profit for the insurance companies. "Change" is needed.
