  • I am falling in love with first aid kit

  • Swedish lvl.

  • they're the female simon & garfunkel! :D love them!

  • The best damn song I've heard in a long long time! Can't believe they are almost unknown here in Oz.

  • Jag håller med Fredrik Wikingsson - det här är otroligt

  • @yay4shanghai Unfortunately, it is NOT a joke. MoA is Johanna.

  • Awesome. Bodde i samma ort som de kommer ifrån :D *stolt* De äger söndeeeeeeeer.

  • I was at the concert last night in Manchester and I really can't put in to words how amazing these two girls are.Just keyboard, drums, acoustic guitar and voices (oh Lord, the voices!) and these young girls can put any band to shame! Even the support artist (Samantha Crain) was incredible. Music is alive and well, all us old fogey's can rest easy.

  • @mickram23 I was at the gig in Dublin at the Workman's Club last night, Sat, 25th Feb 2012. Couldn't agree more - just brillant! Met them afterwards too and got my CD signed!

Hope they return to Dublin again, soon!

  • so freaking glad i'm goin to get to see first aid kit at coachella this year!!!!!! can't wait!

  • Ni är absolut coolast utan att ens försöka. Hälsningar från Finland.

  • Love love this!!

  • YEAH!! 24 people were eaten by the Lion.

  • If Rebecca Black could get that many views on one night, why arent this video have like 43 million views by now then.. so damn unfair.. a lot better song and still less views.

  • @KarraNikito how can you even compare this song to that shit!

  • @sicklad2011 I don't, sorrie were tierd when i wrote this comment, i mean that that shitty song named Friday, got that many view for that shit, and this is a good perfect song and music video! and i think this should have damn a lot more then Friday, Friday... thats what i meant

  • WOW! i'm in love with these girls music. not much into indie... but they won't me with their voice and music. From Mexico

  • Love it. And I'm so picky about the music I like.

  • Florence and the Machine wants to be like these young ladies.

  • @taylordavis1234567 : Florence doesn't need to be like, she is. She is Florence.

And the Söderberg twins are the Söderbergs a.k.a. First Aid Kit.

Each of them stand for themselves.

Really I never got those "like" comments, they're so meaningles and stupid, maybe so are those who comment ->> like <<- this.

  • Min favoritlåt :)

  • New songss!

  • bloody beautful mates, the minor key does it for me every time..........dougle (OZ)

  • Love this song

  • Its much more beautiful if both of them are singin'...

  • Wow, it's beautiful!

  • Witchcraft anyone? The band.

  • Their voices go so perfectly together. Saw their LP at a local record store last week. I'm gonna buy it tomorrow. I swear. :)

  • British english? She's trying to sound like Neil Young. Apart from that we swedes speak a lousy english. We think we speak good, fluent british english but we don't.

Ask a swede what a latchkey, spatula or trunk is.

  • @gersman1962 What is wrong with you gersman?

  • @gersman1962 The truth is that all swedes sounds diffrent from each another when speaking english, some more british and some more american etc. The s-sounds usually gives a swede away, but other than that there are about 9.5 million varieties of english accents from swedes depending of the story of that person.

  • proud suede

  • I missed it what was in the suitcase

  • Its too long.

  • Sveriges stoltheter!

  • This is so good,i listen this over and over again!;)

  • The only way to understand this is listen to all the songs

Then listen to the album Bright Eyes "People's Key" for the back story 333

  • what a hype crash! i thought that the first aid kits would be awesome and bring a whole new perspective to what its like to be swedish lumberjack's daughters and get super cool flannel for free and be originally alt when i saw their viral video. it turns out that they are just super into recreating southern alts [via Michael Stipe's southern accent]. They want to chop down cherry trees instead of evergreens [via KT Tunstall's Black horse and a cherry tree].

  • @kanye2west2was2right

    um... ok...

    *backs away*

  • It amazes me how people can't read or research before they post. I wrote after my first comment that I mistook The Pussycat Dolls for Girls Aloud (same shit anyway, eh?), but I didn't bother to edit my comment as I thought people would understand the message anyway, irregarding of the specific examples.

  • @superfluousness321 Yeah why dosnt Swedish talk british english.

"Make better movies", we use to answer.

  • @nessZ Storbrittanien GÖR bättre filmer.

  • @superfluousness321 Sounds like a fairly general english accent to me. Besides, why not? It sounds good.

  • Do you think if you put all of First Aid Kit's music videos back to back they'll eventually find their way out of the woods and end up next to the sea?

  • beautiful song, beautiful girls. great music video :)

  • Sweden is conquering the world with music once again.

  • How come that every Swedish pop/rock act, from death metal to rap or singer/songwriter, gets compared to/associated with ABBA/the ABBA sound? It makes just the same sense as claiming that the Rolling Stones, Adele, Oasis and the Pussycat Dolls all sound like The Beatles because they are from the came country...

  • @Skylikeday but the pussycat dolls suck ass

  • @Skylikeday the pussy cat dolls aren't brittish

  • @Skylikeday they sure don't sound anything like ABBA to me! More like Ferron or early Sarah McLachlan. Very nice!

  • @Skylikeday except the Pussycat Dolls aren't English...

  • @MsDudertron I realised it afterwards but couldn't be bothered to edit as the message still comes across perfectly well. I tend to mistake them and Girls Aloud for each other! I think you all know what I mean anyway.

  • @Skylikeday Well the rolling stones where HIGHLY influenced by the beatles... Oasis too, they've done alot of covers..

  • @Skylikeday I would never comapre 'The Knife' to ABBA.

  • @Skylikeday I just want to say the pussycat dolls at not from the UK.

  • @Skylikeday You mean they don't all sound the same?

  • @Skylikeday Pussycat dolls are British?

  • @Skylikeday Well said!!

  • @Skylikeday its all about them magic swedish melodies I guess - must be something in the husmanskost ;)

  • @Skylikeday The Pussycat Dolls are from the US though. All the other artists you mentioned are from the UK.

  • @Skylikeday

Are you suggesting Swedish death metal doesn't sound like ABBA?

  • @Skylikeday I still have to witness the day someone compares a death metal band to ABBA.

  • I find this similar to John Lennons "Working Class Hero", with a kind of indietwist:)

    I love it.

  • Sweden...........

  • Amazing .... <3 from Belgrade, Serbia ! :*

  • Brilliant!!! Tree hugging Abba. Top banana :)) 10/10

  • First time i Heared it i thought it were R

  • Forst t

  • I melt inside :C

  • Week 3 of 52 and the competition is won: this is surely song of the year! Outstanding. Breathtaking. Buy the album, it's awesome.

  • Fleet Aid Kit :)

  • I love this, my teacher gave me your guys' name and I looked you up. Twenty minutes later I'm obsessed with your music.

  • Found this on tv, noted the name because I sort of liked it, one hour later-LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!

  • discovered them today and I love this song already!

  • That was amazing.

  • that vid is Pre-Raphaelite. i love it

  • @xxx86ig

Thanks, I am of the same opinion - good to get some confirmation that others think the same.

  • You were featured on NPR this morning and I immediately fell in love. Thank you. I am buying your album tomorrow.

  • A lions roar is generally all about control being proud of what you have...

  • I love these chicks!! It's just really REALLY lovely music. Thank you First Aid Kit. You're wonderful.

  • Play at WoodStock U'll Fuck Shit Up There ForSures!! Good Shit : )

  • swedish folk <3

  • Awesome voices and melody. My current favorite.

  • A swedish Simon&Garfunkel....

  • @Rogertberg ..not really, swedish Joan Baez & Marianne Faithful (after plastic curgery)

  • @lamOmeIo Also true!! Check out the live version preformed on P3 Guld. It was fantastic!!!

  • @Rogertberg .....that's really.....suond and voice...very amazing

  • @Rogertberg More like a swedish version of the McGarrigle sisters

  • BUT I want the meaning of the lion's roar = what does it mean? - is it something special in english or swedish what do they want to mean with this EXPRESSION PLEASE thanks.

  • @zepekeno347 in christianity Jesus is often referred to as the Lion, don't know if it's the right interpretation, just a thought

  • @deathtothemushroom

I thought he was refered to as a lamb. Pretty big difference.

  • @doffrell he can be refered to as both, the lion, the lamb, the lion AND the lamb

  • @deathtothemushroom Doubt they are referencing Jesus. Have you heard their song 'Hard Believer'?

  • så underbart ♥

  • Sounds very Irish. Amazing and wonderful! Was very surprised to see that this were two svenska flickor. I will download 'The Lion's Roar' from i Tunes tomorrow :-) So well done!

I have waited for music and voices like these.

(@MrDudeBoiMan > Shame on you! I think you should support your fellow contry(wo)men - or shut up!)

  • @MrDudeBoiMan Vad snackar du för skit? :/

  • they are just 18 and 20 years old and make such great music...amazing

  • ... and that's REAL!

  • didnt go on the official because of annoying ads and haters

  • Enchanting.... beautiful... brilliant visuals... hauntingly amazing and just a great piece of Americana. Thank you ladies for the magic. :)

  • What word? Are you serious? No matter how you spell it One more use of deity. All in the name of art. Loved the harmony and music. Hated the Lyrics. Atheists will love this. I won't be listening to it ever again. I'll keep looking for music that sounds just as good but shows some discretion. Is this video the prelude to cult or witchcraft. Because if not--- it looks it.

  • I have to take a giggle :) If you cant hear the enchantment of this bands music & I mean literally "enchantment" then you might as well just go back to listening to Mtv and throw those hipster bones into the fire. These are amazing ladies and I would listen to a few other songs before you throw them away.

  • lol suggestion. Maybe rekindle the timeless sounds of Neko Case or Joni Mitchell or The Tallest Man on Earth (no discretion on any of their art). And what does this song say about God again? I heard nothing about it, odd. This is a band making a statement on Americana and the haunting nature of Human Michanics. How many Ke$ha's or Katy Perry's does one world need. :) ty!

  • Spooky video love the sound though
