  • great job man! what key is that harmonica in?

  • Wow, 2 weeks......Gr8 job! I've been working at it for six moths & I still haven't gotten enough coordination to sing & frail simultaneously.

  • the frailing rhythm is so similar to the carter strum on guitar so i got the rhythm down pretty quickly. actually i found it was easier to keep the rhythm while singing than when not. unfortunately 3 months later i'm still struggling with getting a crisp strike on the 1 & 3 beats. often i miss the string i'm striking at on those beats. i need more practice :)

  • I know what you mean. Though, after a month of frailing w/my middle finger I found it more fruitful to use my index finger; this really helped me. Plus, per Patrick Castello's advice, I took it really slow....Painfully slow at times. No melody no chords just frailing. This is my first stringed instrument & took a lot of getting used to, so taking it slow really helped me get my rhythm.

  • Ah, buy 'A Book Of Five Strings' By Patrick Costello. I got it about three weeks ago & the exercises work very well. I'd suggest getting anything this guy writes, as he hits on everything we face as novices.

  • wtf!? do you have autism? how do you do all this mess after 2 weeks? i'm impressed!
