@XXDASURGEXX I still can't wrap my head around people like you? Literally all of your comments are the same thing on different videos. Find a hobby. Better yet, a girlfriend.
In this video they are 215s, you'd be able to fit a 275 with little to no modification (maybe a little massage of the inner fender well). The rims are 9 in wide with a 5.5 in backspacing; perfect for the 275s.
I want my setup kinda like this im not sure if you have the whole trick flow setup or not but Im gonna get the twisted wedge top end, Hows the supercharger for everyday driving?
cool , im in annapolis, im thinkin about putting a f cam in my 87 but not sure if it will work with stock pistons? im trying to get stuff ready for the spring by saving cash.
Do you still have speed density or has it been converted to MAF? It's possible to do it with the SD but kind of a hassle, and you're better off with the stock cam in most applications. A cam should be the last piece of you combo; it's the piece that pulls everything together. So in other words, the money would be more productive spent elsewhere.
my car has a carb, check out my vids. the motor i have is new but when i built it 5 years ago i knew nothing about frpp cams and i puy a small rv cam in it 448/472 lift.the engine is all forged with flatop notched pistons with ported iron D8OE casting heads from a 70s 302 valve size is 1.94 int/1.60 exh i got a performer 302 itake with a 670 street avenger carb. i just want a bigger cam that will compliment this combo the bes.t
The Ford Racing cams are pretty old technology, there are much better choices for pretty much every application. Ideally you would want a custom grind, it would get every bit of performance out of the combination with all of your intended uses for the car in mind, someone like Jay Allen at Camshaft Innovations would be my recommendation. But again, the cam should be the last piece of the combo. What are your goals/budget?
my goals are to run mid 11s with it having iron heads, i want to be different. my budget is low right now cause i have a lot of toys. i wana make the 87 my main race car and make my 03gt nice again. but bythe spring i should have enough money to make it a nice bracket car.
Well thanks for pointing out the obvious, being a broke college kid, it takes time to buy something as expensive as a set of heads; and if you're throwing a couple hundred at it already then why stop with a GT40 setup? Winter is approaching and so is a nice set of aluminum heads.
Haha, no issues, i know how ya feel. Im getting killed on my build at the moment...it's the little things ya know. But I didn't see a whole lot of point in porting stock heads? Unless you did it yourself, which then, all the power to ya :)
