Dunno if you're familiar with the phenomenon, but Europeans don't think it's a bad thing if you call them Europeans. It's a thing, we only get upset if you mix up one specific country with another, but we're kinda cool with the whole "European" concept. I'm sure Germans think of themselves also as Europeans, seeing as they are basically in the middle of the bunch.

As long as you're not saying that everyone's the same, there's nothing bad in pointing out that a great idea is of European origin.

sometimes if you rent an apartment or flat in it does not have a washer and dryer included. nor does the rent cover that extra service. If you were to buy and hook up your own extra rent may be charged to cover the extra utilities needed to run them.

You sound like you have never been to a laundrette. They are great places to meet all sorts of people, who you would never meet while sitting at home.
