In Win 7, where if you SHIFT DEL a file, it does not go away, but stays there until you log off or restart SHIFT DEL does not bring up the are you sure thing. Many people have tried all sorts of things, but sometimes the file goes away but comes back when you F5 it

I have been using Windows 7 Pro as well and I am not impressed. All it is a Vista prettier, vista 2.0, or Pig with make-up.

yeah your right, but its a faster less bugy vista. i've been doing some tests, scaling images from 300dpi to 1200dpi with sampling and its faster than xp. thats on photoshop cs4. i found vista un-usable, but i really likethis 7.

Actually I've noticed that Windows 7 is using much more memory (for me) than Vista Ultimate. I have the FS optimized as well as the services. I prefer to browse the FS in details mode, however eog in Linux has no problem displaying 300 to 1200 dpi in any kind of file. I've actually had Win 7 crash on me 2x (and yes my laptop 'officially' supports Win 7). I can't really complain since I manager to get it for $30, but still none the less Linux is much more stable for me.

i really see nothing about 7, i bought the home premium and the pro version for 30 as a student. like you say i have the noticed the same about the ram use in 7, i wont complain i just pay 60 for both, some day i will use them, but see nothing magical about upgrade from vista service pack 2. Vista works very well, i been playing with vista and 7 and for those who are going to pay $119 for upgrades and much more for full versions is not worth in my opinion. i will conserve my license for future.

run your out dated drivers in compatibility mode thats whats awesome about windows 7 , if you give up at the first sign of error then its not for you once it runs good you wont have no more problems. I got a crappy xp 600mhz samsung q1 and installed windows 7 on it and it runs faster then it did on xp and I have the xp drivers all running on windows 7 only quiters quit !

As a Mac user, I can personally say that after using the 64bit version of Windows 7 it IS much better than Vista but has a few kinks to work out. However that was the beta version so when I get a chance I will probably get it again and dual boot and let people know.
