  • Finally finally finally I now know how to change colours. &I'm now making a hideous burgundy and yellow scarf Lololol.

  • @Roseisababe111 Lol! I'm sure it'll look great when it's done, regardless of the color!

  • @LiatMGat It's actually turning out to be a some-what attractive Gryffindor coloured scarf. Thanks for the video, it was completely helpful [:

  • What do you do to avoid the uneven side( step up) of the new color?

  • @eyerawkutube Um, I usually don't get an uneven side. Will you post in our forum and describe what you mean and we'll help fix it? Thanks! Just go to: knifreedom (dot) com / forum.

  • @shishashi154 Oh, you're so welcome! I'm so glad that you're able to keep coming back to the video to help you while you're switching colors. That's great! Don't forget to check out knitfreedom (dot) com for plenty more great tutorials and videos to help you. :)

  • Thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

  • @jennnn000 You are soooooooooooooo welcome! :)

  • thanks for your video!!

    it really helps =D

  • @animefanatic33 You are so welcome. :) I am so glad that my video is helpful for you!

  • @TheIsabella201 That is so sweet! Thank you SO much. :)

  • @Beautymarked86 there are a ton of videos showing you what to do with the tails after you've added in yarn. its called "weaving in" the yarn. you do it when you're done with a project or with yarn that you need to hide. you can also find videos teaching you how to finish a project (weaving in is basically the last step in finishing a scarf/sweater/whatever else you're knitting) and sometimes they'll help you there. hope that helps!

  • This was very helpful but i'm still a bit confused on what you do with the tails when you change colors (i'm still kinda new with knitting). Please help :)

  • @BeautyMarked86 If you are making small stripes (two rows high), you can drop the yarn when you're done with one color and pick it up and start knitting with it again when you're ready. The unused yarn just goes up the sides of the scarf. If the stripes are thick, you'll have to cut your yarn each time you change colors, leaving a six-inch tail, and then weave in those tails with a tapestry needle when you're done.

  • Thanks so much - this was a very good video and very viewable! :)

  • @MamaPalma Oh, thank you!

  • @LiatMGat You are so welcome. I just recently retired ( a young retiree!) and have picked up knitting again. I love your website and your videos. Could you include some videos regarding neck shaping and picking up stitches around the neck? My current sweater pattern talks about "working both sides." Thanks! :)

  • @MamaPalma Sure, I'll add that to my video list! But for now, why don't you pop over to the forum at knitfreedom(dot)com(backward slash)forum, where we can help you right away?

  • @LiatMGat Got it - on Ravelry! :)

  • what's the yarn you use in these vids? it looks so luxurious.

  • @desikitteh Oh, it is! It's called Bulky Natural, by Blue Sky Alpacas. It's SO soft. And speaking of luxurious, here in Aspen, it goes for $17 a skein (45 yards)!!! Everywhere else, it's $11 per skein, which is still a LOT. But I just couldn't find anything else that would work.

  • @LiatMGat thanks! even found a local stockist. XD
