  • Rest in Peace Howard. I have been looking for this song for a long time. I used to love listening to it on the radio as a young girl and even back then I'd wish his wife would come back to him! TV dinner and a half eaten candy bar!

  • This was my 1st 45 that I bought when I came to California back in the day, couldn't stop playing it, love still today, Rest In Peace Howard............

  • it's hard to get better than this, all around, perfection, LOVE IT.

  • ohhhh man!!!!!!! this is outta sight!!!!!!!! howard tate you da man!

  • I know it was released November, 1968

  • This was first 45 I bought when I came to California, in 1969, that's how much I like this song, I was 13 years old!

  • No doubt, the picture is of LLoyd Price! Love this song . Thanks Howard for such a cold song!

  • Schofield skating rink in Indy, doing my thang and watching others do theirs as we floated around the rink floor to the perfect rhythm for the perfect times to have been a teen full of love and discovery....remember guys?

  • Actually, I've been told that the picture on the label IS LLOYD PRICE, and not Howard Tate. Now, I'll be d****!!!!

  • @Atomank68 : Lloyd owned the label, that's why his pic is there.

  • @recordman64. Yes, of course the picture on the label is Lloyd's. I've known this for decades. We should promote in our respective locales and bring back The Terrific Trio of Price, Gene Chandler, and Jerry("The Ice-Man") Butler. Now, how about that?

  • @recordman64. There was another Howard Tate "classic" called "Let One One Hurt do" that was taken off YT by the copy-right mongers. DEATH TO 'EM ALL!!!

This same track was covered by a group calling themselves "The Skyliners", or either that there record label was called likewise. Anyone out there have the 45-RPM, or know anything? Would be much appreciated.

  • Yeah, baby. This is the original 45-rpm label. I believe there was another group called "Skyline", or their label was so named. Howard's B-side was the instrumental of this compo.

  • produced by Lloyd Price? I'll be d*****
