I watched this documentry a very long time ago, have always remembered it. would love to watch it all again. Does anyone know where/how it can be viewed??
was reared in exactly the same conditions .never did us the slightest harm .Would be more than happy to go back if that was possible the happiest years of my life
@mrmagicroundcircle There was still TB, spread quickly in overcrowded conditions. Infectious diseases spread like wildfire. The difference is when you are in the thick of it it is part of your life and you don't notice, especially if you are a child and know nothing else.
Indeed it is hard to believe, though one advantage of the fact that it hadn't been pulled down earlier was that it wasn't replaced with equally bad tower blocks as most slums cleared earlier in the 1960s were.
