  • mmm . . . so good, i love the grilled cheese and dipping it into mustard and topped of with butter pecan on a cone

  • I have lived in Va Beach my whole life, and that place is like 25 minutes from me and I've never been there before, WTF. I'm going SOON!!!! Too bad I didn't go there when Guy was there, I could have stolen his 67 Camaro!

  • Passed this place many times. Will go there for the ice cream. I refuse to eat at a place that sells BBQ that I can't smell cooking outside the building.

  • My new fav from Doumar's is a limeade with a scoop of orange sherbet. Wanna talk about good?!?!?! I also love their ice cream because it is really icy, to the point it has tiny ice chips/flakes in it! Perfect on a hot summer day! My daughter is the 4th generation in my family to eat there.

  • This place is amazing. The best food for the best prices. Also, great ice cream.

Guy doesn't pronounce "Norfolk" right, though.

  • their limeades make everyone else's taste like dirty dishwater! They are fantastic!

  • Can anyone tell me what's in the limeade? At the end it sounds like he says "sugar water" but it had to be soda water. Anyone know?

  • @feltwiener69 - Sugar water, syrup, citric acid, and lime juice. I don't think they use any soda water in it. Just like Guy said, it kinda tastes like a soda, but it's made fresh by order.

  • the way he says norfolk, haha, i havent eaten here yet, but it looks delicious

  • @MrGoon2agoblin ur gonna want to its delicious

  • oh my god that looks sooo good!

  • WOOO-HOOOO! MY HOMETOWN! I grew UP on Doumar's legendary barbecue and cheeseburgers, but I could kick myself for never trying the ice cream, and now I'm exiled to snowy upstate NY and can't go to Doumar's anytime I want, *sniffle*.

  • The way he says Norfolk kills me.

  • DUDE I KNOW HAHA

    Nawwfuck

i had a pork bbq sandwhich and their grilled cheese w bacon (GET IT THERE IS SO MUCH BACON)

  • Ha yes me too! It makes me cringe.

Come on people. You don't pronounce the "L"

  • I've been going to Doumar's for 22 yrs. I'm 26 yrs. old. Steak sandwich and Lg. Limeaide. Every single time--- LOVE It!!!!!

  • i just ate there today helping my brother move in his house and their grilled cheese with bacon is the best grilled cheese ever

  • I was born in Norfolk and since have moved out, but I can't go back home without immediately going to Doumar's.

I can taste the BBQ after watching this!

  • I can still taste Doumar's barbecue. That taste never leaves a Norfolk kid, no matter where they roam. ;-)

  • Doumar's is the shit I'm from Portsmouth, VA. Nor-folk's neighbor city.

  • When I was in the Navy and lived in Norfolk, Doumar's was the place to get good food and really fine ice cream. Seeing this video reminded me how much I miss Norfolk and Doumars. Thanks. Jim C

  • I miss the heck out of it, too, retirednavyman. By the way, I'm from a Navy family myself!

  • You never had a Ringo sundae? At least tell me you had a limeade! At least my ex wife is still enjoying Doumars since she still lives there. Doumars would come to my wife's office picnic with that old cone machine and make vanilla and chocolate cones. I always had a couple. Hey they were for free. About a 6 hr drive from Easton to Norfolk and maybe I need to visit some old friends as an excuse to go back to Doumars. Take care, Jim C

  • Nope, unfortunately. :-( Even as a kid, I was more into the savory than the sweet, so I chowed down on their burgers and bbq. When I go back on a trip, however, there's a sundae and limeade with my name on it, LOL.

  • I served with your dad on IKE. I was his supervisor as a YNCS. Small world, isn't it.

  • I totally love Doumar's, just went there the other night. I love the BBQ's and Ringo's!

  • I love Doumar's...glad to see Norfolk, Va. on the map!

  • dammit! now i want ice cream.

  • yummy!

  • Doumar's is amazing!<3 And it's really cheap too, which is perfect for all the college students at ODU just down the road!

  • Went to school with Thad. Glad to see him doing well. Need to get back to Doumar's, what a great place!
