Ma questo è il '92...al Petruzzelli di Bari..Anna è cantata da Manuela Custer..che sicuramente non poteva esserci nel 1978!! ...per cui, per quanto io non ami la Sig.ra Ricciarelli...considerando che si tratta di una prova così "recente"...era in grandissima forma!!!

@matteobs86: ahaa, grazie, ecco svelato il mistero, allora per il 1992 va benino (sicuro che non fosse 1991? ho appena letto che il Petruzzelli andò distrutto dall'incendio nell'autunno 1991), e sicuramente più avanti era meglio, la voce di Katia faticava a carburare già dal 1984 per cui ne risentivano le cavatine d'esordio ma poi migliorava...

Eh no, proprio non ci siamo, io che adoro la Ricciarelli persino in interpretazioni molto più recenti, qui la trovo scarsissima. La cabaletta si salva, grazie anche alla versione con la coloratura più facile, ma la cavatina è orripilante: emissione faticosa, zero piani, intonazione calante, cadenze marginali e fuori tempo, parole sbagliate, tutto disastroso insomma... Se non leggessi "1978" tra le info di questo video, giurerei che si tratta dell'edizione 1991 a Palermo^___^

Vivaldiano non essere severo,il timbro di Katiuscia è molto bello e adattissimo alla Stuarda, anche se lei pasticcia un pò con la coloratura. Comunque brava e incatevole!

è la tecnica è l elemeto che l'ha portata allo sfascio e se la senti ora è quasi del tutto inascoltabile sono andato ad ascoltarla dal vivo e ha rovino o sole mio di Capua

Katia is not my favourite. I think she made the same 'mistake' like Montserrat Caballe to take on 'heavy' colorature role's that do not fit the (flexibility and range) of the voice.

I can understand your objections, but I do wonder what roles you think her voice and technique are appropriate for ... because I've heard other people say similar things of her undertaking heavier Verdi and Puccini roles, intimating that she is better served here.

She struggles to my ears -- it's flat and lacks energy, lift, tonal life, nuanced dynamics, and solid support. The legato is so thick, it seems to move at the pace of tepid molasses being poured out of a jar. All told, very dull.

Yes, 1987 could be right. This has also been the year of her Roberto Devereux in Naples and in this performance her voice sounds similar. By the way: where from did you get the video? I only knew that there is a video from her 1984 Maria Stuarda.
