I remember I had this game as a kid and I loved playing it. After a long time, I finally beat it and saw this god awful ending after working so hard to see the ending. Needless to say I was so angry that I traded this game in and never played it again!

it is mad max. it was going to be released as a road warrior game but licensing became an issue at the last minute so they just changed a few little things and released "Outlander"

Afaik it was supposed as a offical MadMax2 Game but then mindscape and warnerbrothers had some license issues and in the end mindscape just change some things and called it outlander.

When I played it to this...

I mean... You just fight you way over the Roads and through those citys and the Last 8 dont give you a Password to save your progress...

So afterall you finaly sucsed the game and than comes this Random Outro!

Wow....in the genesis game, there was a machine gun mounted in back of the semi.

Also, the genesis version had 4WD trucks that attacked you with MG's, and you had to use your gun on them.

Except the music and controls. The SNES version has the best music from any other SNES game, it doesn't sound like the SNES itself. But the views of the driving game ports are at the same spot. (The first person and the rear view mirror.)

But to be serious, these two were good console ports.

Not much of an ending. Repetitive and long game. But still worth playing. This game reminds me of the Freeway Warrior gamebooks series by Joe Dever.
