Chapter 13 will stop bankruptcy and allow you to reorganize your other debts under more friendly terms so that you have more money freed to apply toward the mortgage and arrears. To state it is a quick fix that will not stop bankruptcy is incorrect. I hope no one loses their home by listening to this video and assuming you know what you are talkng about. Remember folks, the only qualification it takes to be on youtube is having access to a computer and a video camera.

Your statement that bankruptcy can not stop a foreclosure is not entirely correct. In fact, pursuant to 11 USC 362(a), a foreclosure is stayed indefinitely once a bankruptcy case is filed and the only way it can move forward is for the bank to get permission from the court and lift the automatic stay. In a Chapter 13, the only way this is going to happen is if you miss new payments moving forward, or your plan does not treat the arrears.
