I've noticed in a lot of the pieces that he plays, he adds harmonics into the music on the 12th fret and sometimes the 7th fret. It decreases the difficulty because he no longer has to apply pressure to the string; rather merely graze it with his finger, however, I think he chooses the timing for these harmonics well. Good balance even though he's changing the composition.
It is quite obvious who rated your comments with the "positive" hand and also it is quite obvious who rated with the "negative" one. Ricardo is a great great guitar player and you can't change this with your hating on him. And this is a unique interpretation. I personally find it very expressive. Sensitive when it has to be sensitive and aggressive when it has to be aggressive. Not to mention the clarity and the dynamic range that he has. 5 stars!
This is first time I've heard someone play this with total control and confidence. Even David Russell is a little hesitant with this. Bream is the best ever, we all know, but his "interpretation" of this piece has a lot to do with it's difficulty.
Ricardo you are a master of the guitar. Very interesting to see someone with the balls to sit normally!
Great Artistry! Its interesting, that you are such an aggressive player in some kinds. This is rare under the guitarists. First i thought strange interpretation but from that aspect this peace should played like this in some way, it wins an individual character of a disturbant mood wich is not often heared. Many times this is played more romantic but i think it is not a romantic peace. I think you made it very good. 5 from me!
Ricardo: You are an amazing artist. Each one of your videos show great artistry and deep knowledge of music and of guitar technique. It is very inspiring to see you perform. Congratulations!
Thank you for your comments. I cannot agree with you. I can understand that you don't like my version and this is ok, no problem, but the fact of following the score as the composer wrote is not to say that I don't do nice. Seems like you really don't know the guitar score, the orchestra score neither the handwritting one because I don't do exactly what is written.
Maybe you expected something like playing with different colours or vibrato, or about changing the tempo, things that I don't do on purpose and I have my musical reasons. It's not a matter of imaginative ideas. You could only have said you don't like and that's fine but being so categorical about my way of playing, the pieces that are good for me or not, the right way of playing the music, or telling me who to listen to... are you God?

One of the finest composition written for guitar! Fantastic playing.

so what if this is difficult to play!?
sounds like one of those pieces made only for the sake of making something out of the ordinary. trying to impress by being sophisticated.
but when i hear this i fell like i want to kick a midget!!

Very, very good.
For people who aren't guitarists, understanding the difficulty of this piece is not easy...
Do you add in a couple of harmonics in the middle (slower) sections or is it just my imagination?
And I think you use rubato sparingly and effectively... your tempo is superb.
I can only hope to play this piece so well in my recital in 12 days!
