Larry all that you do, whether its original or copy, you always make it sound beautiful, meaningful, and emotional. You get so into each song and your captivating!!!!! You have some many wonderful videos on YT. I truly enjoy watching and listening to all your wonderful creations done by you. You're amazing!!!!!!!!
i know that there is no better place i could be for that than right here with your music...One of the sweetest and finest things about your music is, especially with a song like this, you capture the emotion and story in EVERY bit you play...You are the best thing youtube will ever have....You are the best thing Everyone could have:)!!..ione marie
Larry...Karen Carpenter had the voice of an angel...I remember when i first heard you do this at podline6...I used to listen to it over and over again...And i have to tell you, the same thing happens with this one..This is one of those pulling at the heart songs...Whether you need a good cry and are sad or just want to hear your warm voice sing, like i am right now, it's so good to be here....The reason i love music so much is because it is such a powerful and beautiful thing in life and....
Larry....It doesn't matter what day of the week it is or if it's the worst rainstorm. ever....You're music could NEVER get me down......Musicman always gets me smiling:):).......you are fantastic........ione marie
Thanks for this. A great performance of a really fabulous song. I am so jealous because I would LOVE to be able to sing this (and other Carpernter's songs) but my voice range is just too high.
Your top-notch guitar work gives this one a slightly different feel while remaining fully respectful of the original release. Fans of Karen should read Randy Schmidt's objective yet revealing/troubling biography of Karen "Little Girl Blue: The Life of Karen Carpenter."
Larry.....I thank GOD every single day for you....My life wouldn't be the same without you...ione marie........BTW: i know that when i come back to this one im gonna lose it, but i still come back...tears can be so sweet
LOVE it on the guitar!! So clean and simple and heartfelt. It's not often that a song will bring me to tears, but this one does, and your version is perfection.
Really Nice! I think I've waited almost a year for this to be reposted. As a piano player i think i liked it better when you performed it on the piano. But I'm biased. This is just as great!
Larry............Today has been one of those pouring rainy day mondays....and what gets me through all those days is your voice and music.....It alwasy has and always will be THEE best thing for my heart and soul......GOD bless you...ione marie
And all this time I've been wondering where I heard Larry's sultry velvet vibrato before ! ;-) Happy now ? Leaving your fellow musicians with humid eyes in jaw danglin' awe ?
The Carpenters is my favorite group-I have ALL of their CDs. It was very sad when Karen Carpenter died due to the complications of bulemia (my understanding she binged then induced vomiting-excessive vomiting causing electrolyte imbalances which made her heart going a fatal arrhythmia. I also heard she abused syrup of ipecac that helped to induce vomiting-which is a plant poison-contributed to this. I suppose she couldn't handle all of that fame and fortune at such a young age.
@WinterHaven she probably had eating disorders for many years. You did that song very well Larry! It's ironic when sometimes in this life when I'm overwhelmed with stress and anxiety-I listen to that song. It's strangely. Comforting.
Hello Larry ! Once again your song is quite beautiful. And as it has been said above, today will be a bright and sunny Monday. Thanks a lot for the joy you give to me.
Larry.....I listened to your first cover of this SO many times....This is truly a beautiful song..I know i will listen to this one many times also....Today im finding it a heartwrenching song that is a reminder of all the negative in life.....Music, especially yours, has such power over me...I see the efffect this song has on you also .Didn't plan on tears today, oh well....Life is what it is......and you are so loved by so many....ione marie
