yogeshji's dexterity reminds of a sewing machine. no matter how hard the composition, his hands move almost like a mechanical machine. just incredibly tayyar player. zakir ji sublime as usual, showing why his class is yet unsurpassed. really loved seeing the gurubhais playing together.

This is what i call one 'serious' tabla clip. This actual Raag being used gives it an element of rawness in the mood that it sets. Mashallah Yogesh is technically very fast, precise and clear and a credit to Ustad Allarakha. However Ustad Zakir shows how why in a 'creative' sense, he is on another level. In terms of 'musicality' on the tabla's noone can match Ustad Zakir Hussein, which i believe is due to him accompanying so many different musicians from so many different styles. A true master.

Its the creative genius of improvisation that sets Zakir apart. As Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia once said - "Acha..balki bahut accha bajane wale log hai....lekin Zakir Hussain ki baat kuch aur hai".
