  • Cool video! I actually made a stop in rouleau a couple years back to see the corner gas set too. It was boarded up at the time unfortunately, but still very cool to see as a fan of the show.

  • @beaster29 I am a huge fan of the show too, this was my second visit and while I was there I met a really cool guy RJ that worked there. I was able to sign the Corner Gas guestbook and get a couple of post cards for my Grandma. The first visit was in 2006 on my way back from the ride across Canada. It was a great show, love watching the re-runs, sure would like to see it come back or maybe make a Corner Gas movie : )

  • @vridetv I think it was in 08 that I was there. Stopped in on my way back to wpg. And I actually got to stay in the Dog River Hotel overnight, but only after I had spent a good chunk of change on Corner Gas merchandise. Neat experience. I just wish I had been able to catch a glimpse of them taping an episode. How cool would it have been to be in the background of one of the scenes in an episode!

  • I used to watch that show every night when it was on WGN Chicago. Sadly they took it off, and no other channel carries it.

  • love it i wanna go visit there one time are they still up or did they get riped down

  • @openshot I'm pretty sure it is torn down. I can still find it on Google Street view but that's because the pictures were taken a few years ago. I can't find the set on Google maps so I guess it's torn down. :( But the Dogriver grain elevator is still there.

  • There's lots to see. Nothing to block your view.

  • Gracias por permitirme ver esos paisajes de una forma tan clara. De verdad, solo una palabra encuentro para definir los videos : MAGNÍFICOS.

    Ojalá pueda visitarlos algún dia.

  • what does the back look like

  • Ahh, nothing like small town Canada, eh.

  • Jeff, as always another great video from you and those prairie bugs will get your lens every time.

Grain elevators are a dying breed which is a sad fact of modern life.

  • Another excellent video as always, thanks for sharing. One question I have i'm hoping you won't mind answering is what format settings you use in Final Cut to save these movies before uploading to youtube?

    Many thanks in advance..

  • @torqsworld The settings we use in Final Cut Pro 7 are H.264 HD 1280x720 16:9 de-interlaced, fast start, key frames: all, encoding: best quality multi pass. The file sizes are large, this video was 1.2Gb and it took about 4 1/2 hours to upload.

I hope this was helpful, thanks for watching...

    Best regards,

    Jeff

  • Used to watch the show on WGN Chicago TV. Thanks for the video, brings back many memories of a well written comedy produced in Canada. Nice job.

  • Great video. :)

Seems like many people in your video comments do ask about what cameras you use jeff. I think you need to write your camera models and setup into your channel info.

  • @Bikeman1087 Your right that is a popular question, I've posted a link to vridetv's FAQ page with all three HD video cameras we use as well as all the accessories.

Thanks for the feed back and watching our videos.

    Best regards,
