WoW! Hell Yeah! Love The Raconteurs! Been listening to The Raconteurs, Hey You!, My Chemical Romance, Sick Puppies, No Doubt, and Blink-182....
Hey You! is still pretty new, but they're waaay dope. Pop/Rock/Punk with a real cool edge. Plus they've got a cute chick singer :-) .....check em out.....
It'd hate to be a drummer in a band with Jack White, so much f'ing pressure, but that drummer is absolutely amazing, it's an incredibly original beat.
After hearing about the Stripes...I really hope these guys get back together...I really don't like Dead Whether... And this is a great great performance of this song!
@rockerr12595 It's a Gretsh, but if I'm not mistaken it's the one he had souped up with all copper. Like almost everything on the guitar was made of copper to give it a certain tone.
There must have been some serious vocal tweaking going on the day they recorded the studio version of this. He ALWAYS struggles to sing this live and is always as flat as a witches tit.
@judomouse Singing live is weird though. I know from personal experience I can lay something down perfectly, or even sing at home perfectly but come mid-set I'm toast. I'm not comparing myself to him in any way, just an observation.
@TheBlenderer i this is around the time he slipped a disk in his back so it was tough to sing with that. thats why you will fine 2 vids of alison mosshart singing with him.
Just an old harmonica mic. I cant remeber what the thing he uses with its called but it doesnt effect the sound of it all it does is cut it out for a second. But if you can live without that part then its just a regular harminca mic
its called a coppperphone... its hooked up to a copper coil that runs the signal through two prongs, whenever he puts his hand on it the singnal comes through, by shaking his hand on it, it makes that "killswitch" sound....
jacks more unorthadox like everything but if i was a guitarist/bassist id want keeler JW would be a bitch to play along too although i have no experiece im a drummer so :P
"It seems to revolve around the number three--songwriting is storytelling, melody, and rhythm, those three components. If you break it down but you keep the three components, then you have what songwriting really is, without excess and overthinking."
he has a zvex tremelo probe. It senses like hand movements and changes the speed of tremolo. apparently if you touch it all the way it's off or vice versa.
Jack White said in an interview that he has had an obsession with the number three.. kinda like an ocd thing. If you look on the back of the elephant album you will notice all the 3's are highlighted and sometimes he sings into 3 mics.
