  • Probably in Amiga all time top5, IMO. Also, the audio and design in later levels is very stylish. Especially how the music reacts to scenery and events.

The AI partner is a parasite though. Shoots barely anything and collects all the coins.

  • I love this game, I just bought an amiga for this game alone

  • Cool ch. Steve..... Like your style Dude....:D

  • Ah, Bitmap Bros...

Friends and I never managed to play all the way through. The Chaos Engine made me fall in love with the Steampunk genre though XD

  • been playing this today! gets hard very quickly :P

  • This along with Micro Machines was my favourite multiplayer game on the Amiga. If I remember correctly on Chaos Engine you could enter random cheat codes and fairly often get a bonus of some sort.

  • Love The Chaos Engine. Spent many a happy day playing that with my brother or single player. Got the CD version a few years later with AGA graphics. Great stuff. I'm determined to drag my A1200 out of the loft and get a wireless card for it so I can download all the HD installers for my Amiga games.

  • i really dont know why this game is banned here. never understood that. =(

  • Nice game here Steve, to me it's a little Commando meets Gauntlet the way the A.I. is with the enemies. Thanks for showing this = )

  • Played this on the Sega after renting it from the Video Shop! Was well hard but good

  • Seems a little like Ikari Warriors, with the slow enemy bullets and all. Looks pretty cool.

  • As usual, an old British game is way too tough on the player. When the old devs are interviewed these days, they admit that their old games were way too hard.

No wonder everyone was mad about cheat codes back in the day. Infinite lives and invulnerability please!

  • Never played this one, nearly bought it a few times though, it looks pretty good so will pick it up next time i get some Amiga games.

  • I have this on the Megadrive and really like the music and gameplay but never really get much further than half way through level 2. It's rock hard.

  • The Bitmap Brothers were an amazing studio. I don't remember a bad game from them in those days! :)

  • I always thought of this as a poor mans Alien Breed. Not bad and a lot of fun :)

  • I remember playing co-op games like this in the past with computer-controlled teammates. Most of the time, the AI sucked. Getting in the way of your shots, getting stuck in places and you'd have to extract them by some amazing feat of maneauvering. This one doesn't seem so bad, however. Could be really fun with a friend, tho.

  • I have this on my CD32 too, great game.

  • This an awesome game. I still have this for my Amiga and guess what... It's just loading up now. Get that volume up.

  • For some reason I have 2 copies of this on my CD32 :-S!

Great game, but I wish it had some sort of save system or at least passwords.

  • The Bitmap Brothers Ruuuuuuullllleeeee! I love this game and I have the AGA version for my Miggy 1200. Steve you should go to WHDLoad's website they have loads of Hard Disk Drive installs for most Miggy games. When I get some dosh I am going to donate to register with them as I think they do a great service for the Miggy community. Thanks for sharing I used to play this game to death back in the day, the music was fantastic in this game. Great vid

  • @DLiberator78

    stop saying miggy. jesus

  • @AlfredRusselWallace It is not your place to be telling people what they can and cannot say on my channel.

  • @AlfredRusselWallace Miggy is the community acknowledged nickname for the Amiga. Personally, I prefer to call it the Amiga, but I don't go around telling people they should too.

  • @AlfredRusselWallace Miggy! Miggy! Miggy! Miggy! Miggy! Miggy! Miggy! Miggy! Miggy! Miggy! Miggy! Miggy! Miggy! Miggy! Miggy! There! Is that enough times for you?

  • @AlfredRusselWallace Don't talk to Jesus like that.

  • This looks like Soldiers of Fortune for the NES (completely unrelated to the PC title of the same name)! Pretty much Identical in fact!

  • I still play this regularly on my CD32 - it was always to me the evolution of Gauntlt...

Still more playable than a lot of the games released today even though it's 17 year old - and one game that i've still not finished, but I will... ne day I will...!

  • never played this one but very cool vid

  • This is one my favorite bitmap brother games. I am crazy enough to actually own this for every single platform that it came out for. Great stuff. I think the amiga and the snes versions are the best ones.

  • Lol, I remember the bitmap brothers, what became of them? That's a pain on the amiga, disk swapping. Thankfully, when I found the 600, it came with an external :o) Funny thing is that sometimes, the disks won't work in the main drive but work in the external, go figure lol

  • OMG! i just realised i have this for my amiga cd32! what a great game :)

  • Just played that a couple of days ago. Awesome game.

  • @Rabadamtimtimti nothing sry

  • this is personally one of my favourite amiga games, then again most bitmap brothers game are. They were amazing in the 16 bit days!

btw the alleged party i was meant to be going to today has been called off which means i'll probably help you kicking asses of mouthy bastards on your live chat tonight! :D

  • I had this on a disk from Amiga Format Magazine, played it a lot, very fun and good looking.

  • Another cracker of a game !!

Did you ever play Nitro? That's another Amiga game I spent a LOT of time on..

  • Great game!
