it's down to how you interpret it but I always interpreted the Robbert Pattinson version as him breaking up with someone because he didn't love her and didn't want to drag her further into something that was just gonna go to shit. But this version is more about someone breaking up with him due to a misunderstanding. They're both awesome songs though :D

Rob's is written for him and with the rasp he has in his voice it's an awesome song.

Sam's is written for him he has a softer voice, there for have softer and a little more meaningful words.

This is amazing... People have to understand... that "Never Think" was tailored to fit Twilight. That version was written as if from Edward to Bella. This is the original. Rob actually said he prefers this version. Though this is AMAZING, I still prefer "Never Think", myself.
