Not as good as the last one, the album was produced too quickly...I think the material was a bit incomplete, but it's still better than the music and clips of the most of pop artists.
@delacour002 I beg to differ, I've been a fan for 13 years and I'd have to say this some of the best material AVC has ever done, but obviously that's just my opinion. This album kind of reminds me of something Laibach would produce with all the cover songs in this album, it's interesting direction for Sopor Aeternus to take. I hope one day AVC will have Lars Hansen of Oneiroid Psychosis be the producer for he/she's next project and hopefully it won't take 5 years to come about.
al parecer muchisima gente ignorante ha criticado el video, es verdad que la escencia de sopor aeternus ha decaido demaciado en los ultimos años, este trabajo nuevo realmente aunque es muy bueno e inegablemente es la escencia de anna no se compara con los anteriores trabajos funebres y macabros de sopor, pero yo creo que todo cambio es para bien, tengo de conocer a sopor aeternus toda mi vida y cada dia me sorprende mas su versatilidad musical.
Just listen to the Marianne Faithfull's original version of Sleep, I'm a little Sopor Aeternus bias, so I really like AVC version over Marianne's to an extent. I'm not really a big fan of cover songs, but I'll definitely make exception to my own taste considering I'm a big Sopor Aeternus fan and when a artist cover songs, sometimes they do better job with production values. Just my .02cents.

Tendría que estar un poco de acuerdo con que las letras de las canciones han perdido algo de atención ( especialmente la letra de a Strange thing to Say es un poco boba). Pero mientras el sentimiento sea honesto, creo que son válidas. Por otro lado la música a evolucionado mucho, quiero decir, que musicalmente compara y supera a muchas entregas anteriores. "Oh chimney sweep" es un buen ejemplo: la letra es doble sentido no tan poetica, pero la mezcla musical es increíble!

Not as good as the last one, the album was produced too quickly...I think the material was a bit incomplete, but it's still better than the music and clips of the most of pop artists.

@delacour002 I beg to differ, I've been a fan for 13 years and I'd have to say this some of the best material AVC has ever done, but obviously that's just my opinion. This album kind of reminds me of something Laibach would produce with all the cover songs in this album, it's interesting direction for Sopor Aeternus to take. I hope one day AVC will have Lars Hansen of Oneiroid Psychosis be the producer for he/she's next project and hopefully it won't take 5 years to come about.

al parecer muchisima gente ignorante ha criticado el video, es verdad que la escencia de sopor aeternus ha decaido demaciado en los ultimos años, este trabajo nuevo realmente aunque es muy bueno e inegablemente es la escencia de anna no se compara con los anteriores trabajos funebres y macabros de sopor, pero yo creo que todo cambio es para bien, tengo de conocer a sopor aeternus toda mi vida y cada dia me sorprende mas su versatilidad musical.

Just listen to the Marianne Faithfull's original version of Sleep, I'm a little Sopor Aeternus bias, so I really like AVC version over Marianne's to an extent. I'm not really a big fan of cover songs, but I'll definitely make exception to my own taste considering I'm a big Sopor Aeternus fan and when a artist cover songs, sometimes they do better job with production values. Just my .02cents.

I love how expressive Anna-Varney is. You can actually feel her emotion. It's not just wonderful lyrics or beautiful music. It's a mood you experience. Very nice to see someone who cares about art first, rather than just money or instant, short-span likability.

Have you seen this ghost? was the perfect mix between the sound of the Dead Lovers Sarabande and Les Fleurs du Mal. It's easier to me understand the lyrics now, not so much symbolism and metaphors about her philosophy of Saturn, vampirism, etc..

"Inertial composing" I've never thought about it that way... I would have to agree! Although I couldn't tell with this one... Apparently, this new album is about a "sexorsism" which frankly eludes me whether this means that (s)he will go back to themes of isolation and death or whether this one will be all about love and sex again

Tendría que estar un poco de acuerdo con que las letras de las canciones han perdido algo de atención ( especialmente la letra de a Strange thing to Say es un poco boba). Pero mientras el sentimiento sea honesto, creo que son válidas. Por otro lado la música a evolucionado mucho, quiero decir, que musicalmente compara y supera a muchas entregas anteriores. "Oh chimney sweep" es un buen ejemplo: la letra es doble sentido no tan poetica, pero la mezcla musical es increíble!

No entiendo a los ilusos que hablan de un artista como si lo conocieran... Supongo no puede esperarse criterio de alguien que es "fans" de alguien más. Por otro lado de qué chin****** hablan cuando dicen que Anna está contenta! Les Fleurs du Mal, Sanatorium Altrosa y A Strange Thing to Say, son sobre su sexualidad; sobre la frustración, vergüenza, doble moral y soledad que hay entorno a ser transexual - No es que esté "contenta" simplemente es sobre temas diferentes a la muerte y la soledad

pero es medio patético creer q las personas no evolucionan y mucho mas patético desaprobar q ella esta sintiéndose mejor..

en mi opinion no quisiera mensionarlo pero...anna no devio sacar cover lamentablemente lo iso,aunq devo admitir que sea lo que sea es maravilloso su trabajo como siempre o quisas mejor...en cuanto al video es muy original y hermoso,aunque lei un comentario que criticava a anna por la menra de vestir sobre vestidos caros...pues creo q eso no deveria importar aunq.antes las fotografias eran mas sencillas por decirlo asi y tambien devo admitir que se podian admirar mas...en fin...como anna (NADIE)
