Well this may be a little late, but if Freestyle has gone back underground and is popular in major ethnic cities, then it has gone back to it's roots. Nothing wrong with that!
The people who made Freestyle what it is still keep it alive in their hearts, minds and souls.
Whether it makes money or not, doesn't mean it is dead.
Motown artists don't tour anymore, but the music is still alive in the hearts of many people.
Tazmania can be credited for reviving freestyle, not killing it. Yes the later cd really started to suck, but you can thank metropolitan for that. After Taz went with them all the cds started to become diluted like the Viper series and the extravaganza series.
freestyle died,it stoped being played on the radio..... it cost money for studio , produce records and cds and for distribution... freestyle is mainly underground popular in major ethinic cities....
