  • Hey, i'm 17 and looking to pursue a career in 3d modeling after highschool

Could you please send me your email in a message? I have a few questions i'd like to ask you, i'd appreciate it if you answered them :] thanks

  • BOOOOBIES!!!

  • AWESOME THIS IS PURE SKILL HOW LONG DID IT TAKE U!!!!!! wow dude you are very talented you have a job in this work? BTW the first one was just the best!!

  • I've been trying to learn 3d modeling for about almost a year now, problem i have is not knowing where to get the know how on doing things. things like, where topology is important, and how to make organic things look believable, where and why u do things. i don't wanna go to another college and waste money because to be honest i have very little. do u know any way i can even remotely get my foot in the door to learn this kind of stuff? to learn how to create things like these that's legitimate?

  • ok ill be the first to comment on the hot chick.... dude that chick you made is nice!!!

  • damn amazing, this is good enough to be put in cg movies

  • dude your super amazing love the one at the very start

  • agree with darkallies

  • It's rare to see quality like this in demo-reels this day...

  • wow...you are really good...how many years you studied to do realistic models?

  • ...wow...I suck...I have been studing 3d art for 3 years on my own. I'm no where close to this level of art. It makes 3 years seem like nothing. Thanks for showing us we can all improve, that we all can get to the next level and what the place looks like.

  • Thanks- but dont be hard on yourself so early in your 3D career- I have been doing this for nearly 14 years now professionally, and have had the benefit of working with some pretty cool and generous guys and gals. But I think my work sucks too I guess- which is why one improves oneself I guess.

  • Awsome

  • Indeed. It's no longer modeling, it's a sculpting cg world.

  • Hey thanks Rodney.

Yeah, come a long, long way. I should have time to get a new reel up, and thanks to my new PC actually have enough grunt to render some of my more complex beasties. Exciting stuff.

  • It's the legendary David King! Man, you've come a long way since your early Quake days. I learned a ton from you back in the day about "skinning"(when the term was associated with old-school texturing). Thanks, mate!

  • This material took about three months to put together whilst working via the net for a few games companies. I had to construct a reel of original work as most of my professional work was tied up with non-disclosure agreements.

I am self taught, though nowadays there are some pretty cool places to study.

    I am freelancing again now.

  • WOW!!!! Where did you have your training and how many years have you been working at this?

  • Ignore phone number - I am now based in Sydney, Australia again. (at Animal Logic at the time of writing this)

  • nicely done mate really nice work!!!

  • I love the Silurian!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow wow wow! I GOTTA learn Sub-Surface Scattering shaders, those models frikkin ROCK!

  • I liked pretty much everything, the sculpture though,my bro was with me lol.

  • Thankyou.

  • cheers

  • cool!!!

  • very good - where are you based. I work for Framestore CFC in Soho London.
