there's the occasional that shows up, but yeah... the 90s pretty well murdered country. it's weird, I went from country to grunge to... well, I don't know what the crap I listen to now is.
there's so much good music out there - country, pop, rock, rap, all of it. i don't think it's gone downhill since the 1990s any more than i think it went downhill from the old greats - the carter family, johnny cash, waylon jennings, patsy cline. there's a lot of good music still being produced. just my 2 cents.
This was me 30 years ago......Now i'm 52 and single and retired....it's good to know how to live....I been to Canada twice this summer, Florida and N. Carolina.....Might be time to get 4 new tires on my old caddy....
Hey, Deb, thanx for postin' this 1. I believe that 1 of the writers, Graham Lyle, might be 1 of your fellow Britons. Anyway, Eddy hit #1 in Billboard, 9-17-88. BTW, would Eddy be classified as a tenor? Somebody schooled in voices, please let me know. God bless!
All that stuff they've got out now sounds the same. They just change the beat, and add some new lyrics. These new singers have no idea what class country sounds
you should check out that song (its hard to kiss the lips at night that chew your ass out all day long) mabe vince gill. Sounds like you could use a laugh.
Man was I having fun back when this song was out. Driving down to Baja to the small fishing towns. Drinking beer fishing riding motorcycles down main street and of course chasing the local Latinas.
Hey all this is Eddy here, and I hate to say that the guy I wrote this song about Joe (real name Joseph "Slim Joe" DuBois) died on January 15th, he was a great friend of mine, and I haven't heard from in over 15 years, but boy did I cry the day he died! I will always miss him... sorry I love ranting on about these things when I had a few too many! Take Care, Eddy
Rant all you want to Eddy. This song is a geat tribute to friends - past or present... I can absolutely relate to the sentiment espressed in your words... Thanks for this song..... W'Dan
Thanks Eddy for sharing with us. Man, I know how that feels. This is the #1 song of me and my best partner. Your old friend is living in our memories and drunks. Thanks for the song, brother.
I love this song, still have it on cassett. A bit worn out though. Wish I could some how learn how to down load these songs. Thanks for posting this so I can listen to it.

Eddy was one of the greatest of the best of country music!!!
Which certainly isn't in these days. I saw him in concert and
it was one of the best I have ever attended and that is a lot.
My husband loved his music as much as I did and the concert!
We were right next to the stage and he sure enjoyed singing
for all of his fans.
