Hey Lisa! Your positive energy is contagious! Great to hear from you! I have one small question... the $250 donation incentive seems like a real bargain. But, it would surely cost you more than $250 to fulfill the deal. How can you afford to do that?
Hey!! Thanks for your message and thanks for stopping by. You're right that it will cost me more than $250... that is what I am willing to invest if someone is willing to donate at that level. I have also given myself one year for this lunch to take place, giving me time to clear my schedule AND to save money for the trip/lunch! I win because I get to meet a new friend, the organization wins because they get your donation and the donor wins because they get a free lunch! Are you in?
Well...I may have painted myself into the corner this time. I mean, I don't want to come across like I'm "big money" or anything, however in just two more payments I'll have my car paid off. That'll free up some cash. Um... when is the deadline? How much time do I have to see if I can swing this? Oh wait...I just went and read your blog. May 16? Is that correct?
Great job Lisa. I video chronicled my marathon. I posted a vid response to this on my last episode - blisters in the sun- I started my vids out with humor and when I ran my marathon it turned into a totally different, life changing experience. Congrats on you endeavor!!!
For the ice bath, I get in before I dump the the ice in. The water is easier to take that way. Then, gradually I pour the ice in and it's not as hard as trying to get in when the ice is already in.
It's great advice, and very inspiring! Discomfort IS a strength-builder. I have so much faith in you, and am really proud of you for fighting against 'COMFORT'. It's the silent killer.
i dont know how you can do that ice thing. you must have alot of determination to do that. If someone asked me to get in a tub of ice i would have been "say what?!" but your really going at it so congrats :-)
I can do the ice baths because it's the lesser of two pains if you can believe that. If I don't take an ice bath I'm actually MORE uncomfortable than if I do. They work!
I was just going to say that until I scrolled down and saw your comment lol. I finished my bottle a few months ago and my joints are killing me. This is great advice.
