ive been workin on lateral grooves lately, subbed you last month cause your a good source of inspiration for dope lateral grooves. any tips for books/videos/ songs for stepping up my lateral approach ?
I absolutely love Gavin Harrison...easily one of my favorite modern drummers if not my fav. And Garabaldi and Gadd are just groove monsters...so much pocket.
Gadd's linear drumming brings out such memorable grooves with what seems like a simple concept but it's actually pretty tough separating all your limbs and still make good grooves.

Hey man, check out future sounds by david garibaldi. That and just listen to loads of gadd, garbaldi, gavin harrison etc
