skillet rules i haven't got their new album but i have heard all their songs collide had more of the harder rock songs comatose and soft and hard rock songs awake is mainly softer rock. but hey as long as it is skillet i love it

collide was a dirty sound if u ask me, comatose was kinda a hard poppy rock. their new album is just a full on power ballet.. its kinda heavyer than comatose. but the voackles soften it down. all in all, their new album is a cracker. same with this new TFK album, defintly one to watch!!!!

Hey if you go to iTunes you can listen to the new Tooth & Nail podcast which features TFK and you can listen to alot of the song "Look Away" about 11 minutes into the podcast, it's a beautiful song. JUST LISTEN to the whole podcast lol, they preview ALOT of the songs. E for Extinction is EPIC. I can't explain all of the songs they preview or I'll run out of characters lol so I suggest you go listen to this podcast now.

I still thought Awake was good. Even on the softer songs they still had some nice guitars going on. But the harder songs still were amazing. Sometimes and Dead Inside FTW.

But off this E for Extinction sounds great.

Awake was an amazing album from Skillet. it wasnt wat i was expecting, but Skillet really knows how 2 make good soft songs.

I didnt think Skillet's sucked. I knew it wasnt going to be as great as everyone thought. It was good though. I just know TFK"s is going to be better!

Skillet's new CD didn't suck... it just wasn't that hard rock that we came up to know and love. I really hope that they dazzle us with some more like hard rock next time, but Awake will leave us with something for awhile =).

you need to forget awake as a new album and think about it as a folo on from coamtose, then it starts to amke sense, if u listen to comatose then awake, both albums fit togetehr =P

I agree. I'm a big fan of Skillet, as well, but Skillet's new CD was a bit dissappointing, sounding more like a Pop album than Rock. From the previews, TFK seems to have found the right balance between the softer and heavier songs on the album.

But Fire it Up was a slight disapointment...doesnt sound like the rest of teh album songs, its a huge difference between that and all the others.
