I am thinking about getting the tarpon 160, I have never used a kayak before, would this be something good for a first timer?
I live on a 100 mile long lake and it can get pretty rough at times, but I also want to be able to take it on multi-day trips down small rivers.

@460handcannon I am going to get one. I am 6'4 and only used sit inside kayaks in the past, but this one looks great. Great speed and good storage, I will be using for touring and camping trips and some light fishing.

what is the difrence between the tarpon 160 and 160i

The i was dropped by Wilderness Systems for the 2009 model. Wilderness redesigned the Tarpons for 2009. They are a dry ride and are more stable.
