@jptxhola yes muakrung is rai. to my best knowledge there 32 rais. some of them are athpaharaiya, bantawa, bahing, chamling, dumi, kulung, sotang, thulung,......etc. But maybe you do not know that within each rai group there are again another sub group which is call parcha. for example bantawa has different parcha, let say parcha "A" , "B", "C" and so on. and same thing with other rais. so rais have this system that same parcha cannot marry one another because they are blood related.
that is parcha "A" from bantawa rai cannot marry parcha "A" from dumi rai, chamling rai, mukarung rai and so on. again parcha "B" from thulung rai cannot marry parcha "B" from sotang rai, bahing rai, wambule rai and so on. in short, same parcha means they are blood related. anthropologist have studied this deeply and said that kiratis were very smart to have invented this system. it's like a hindu caste system but in this system everyone is equal and same blood is not mix.

There shouldn't be inter caste marriage between khas and mongoloid race. but khas can intermarry with dalit. This is a very serious topic because your child will have a identity problem if inter-caste marriage between mongoloid and khas happen. And Kirat culture and religion is much different from khas.

Narayan Gopal is superb here as elsewhere, but I'm not so sure about Asha Bhosle. She is awesome in Indian music, but her accent and pronunciation of some of the words sounds odd in Nepalese songs.
I personally thinks she sings well, not any worse than if Narayan Gopal attempted to sing in Hindi. Asha has a history of giving some of the most memorable Nepali filmi songs, thanks in particular to Chino's music director Ranzeet Gajmer, who started his career as an assistant to the amazing R.D.Burman, Asha's late husband.

Exactly. Even though I did watch a lot of Indian movies, I always valued real Nepali movies much more. I wish Indian movies were blocked for sometime...just until Nepali movies prosper again. very unlikely, but one can hope. In the meantime, Nepali movies have got to quit to try and copy western and indian outfit, language and style. Indian movies already make a fool of themselves trying to copy western ways, and Nepali movies do that much worse.

@rajsambyes my friend that's what i have been telling the nepalese. we have so many nepali film and nepali video but rarely we sees actors/actresses or model from Nepali Mongolian communities. Today is 21st century we need to voice out this injustice to Nepal media and film industry. If they reject our request, then Mongolian communities must make their own film and promote to the world.

dear viewers nepal will develop and nepalis do not have to go overseas to work as slaves when we have kirati as prime minister and president of nepal. just look at pawan chamling rai, he is prime minister of assam. there's no corruption under rai administration and because of that assam economy is booming. sometimes i feel like becoming citizen of assam.there's no pride being nepali today. nepal is failure state. it is 2nd poorest country and top 10 corrupted in the world.

Narayan Gopal is superb here as elsewhere, but I'm not so sure about Asha Bhosle. She is awesome in Indian music, but her accent and pronunciation of some of the words sounds odd in Nepalese songs.

I personally thinks she sings well, not any worse than if Narayan Gopal attempted to sing in Hindi. Asha has a history of giving some of the most memorable Nepali filmi songs, thanks in particular to Chino's music director Ranzeet Gajmer, who started his career as an assistant to the amazing R.D.Burman, Asha's late husband.

Exactly. Even though I did watch a lot of Indian movies, I always valued real Nepali movies much more. I wish Indian movies were blocked for sometime...just until Nepali movies prosper again. very unlikely, but one can hope. In the meantime, Nepali movies have got to quit to try and copy western and indian outfit, language and style. Indian movies already make a fool of themselves trying to copy western ways, and Nepali movies do that much worse.

thats so bugging you know indian media influencing our youngsters, my friends are so embarrased to see nepali movies while they proudly chit-chat about all the indian movies but what can we do our movies are poor but if our youngsters don't want to see our own movies then watch hollywood not bollywood watch something thats worthwhile not a second hand copy wich bollywood is! i really hope our film industry will progrees in the future, love you nepal!

@rajsambyes my friend that's what i have been telling the nepalese. we have so many nepali film and nepali video but rarely we sees actors/actresses or model from Nepali Mongolian communities. Today is 21st century we need to voice out this injustice to Nepal media and film industry. If they reject our request, then Mongolian communities must make their own film and promote to the world.

dear viewers nepal will develop and nepalis do not have to go overseas to work as slaves when we have kirati as prime minister and president of nepal. just look at pawan chamling rai, he is prime minister of assam. there's no corruption under rai administration and because of that assam economy is booming. sometimes i feel like becoming citizen of assam.there's no pride being nepali today. nepal is failure state. it is 2nd poorest country and top 10 corrupted in the world.

It all boils down to "what's in it for me". As much as we would love to be lost in our illusive bubble of thinking that actors such as shiva srestha are actually feeling the emotions we do when we hear these songs, the fact is...they do all this for money. And let's face it...if we had the opportunity, I don't think any one of us would give up such an opportunity. It's called GREED. And we are all victims of it.
