  • Car seems to run great. Don't know exactly whay you consider "stock".... When I see the list of mods include, longtube headers, cold air intake, 4:10 gears, nitrous... I'm sorry but that's not stock. None of that stuff is factory. Again, congrats. Given the limited number of mods, it's impressive. Maybe you should change the title to "Stock motor" which would imply what's true... From the Intake to the pan, it's stock.... Then there's the mods...

  • P.S. sorry for the poser comment but I was just pissed when you took off true facts. True enough not everyone can do what your shop does because they have other jobs good for your shop. I guess maybe I should have made it towards Evolution who is just a small shop like you guys with a Buddy at the Magazine which is why they get kudos all the time, but now you've made a connection and your shop should get more exposure.

  • Also stock suspension okay I read the article where you put a custom roll bar on there okay if your shop did that your design you have some true bragging rights but if you didn't all you did was add someones product to put more preload on the suspension which puts it modified again. haha Also I'm not spending 30 grand to go racing , I already have a race car and it's faster than yours. But it's not 3900 pds it 3200 by the rules with a 3.00 gear with a glide goes low 8s with a 200 shot cha ching

  • What I said was Ford already gave you over 400hp at the wheels before a tune, which is huge you add 200 shot which translate a lot more in torque is HUGE you and these other guys have not done anything special except spend a lot of money at the Ford dealer and throw more money at it. Woopie. You added a 4.11 rear gear and with that trans first gear gives you the equivalent of a 5.50 gear or so you don't need any converter with that. Also if that converter is not brazed the fins will roll over

  • Ford did the best thing with the 6R80 in making it clutch to clutch operation without any bands. It seems to be quite stout.

  • Great Run! I'm anxious to see just how much abuse the new 6spd Autos will stand up too! We have one right now running 9.80s with a turbo setup we are about to send to market and it is really holding up nicely. Again, Great Run!

    Nice pass.. but, why do you feel the need to call out Evolution? Those guys are a staple name in the Mustang crowd. In contrast, I've never heard of you guys. So, just worry about building nice cars, and don't try to compare yourself to a proven and nationally known shop, until you've EARNED it.

    Wasnt calling them out at all. Just letting people know that there are others out there that can build fast reliable cars. I have been in the game for a long time and had one of the fastest 03/04 cobras for years. That was before the evolution crowd was ever known. Not knocking them at all just putting it out there

  • @Trav4011 The only reason he would say anything would probably be because they were claiming something and it wasn't true. I really doubt he was comparing himself to them. He might not be known nationally, but when Kenne Belle sends you a prototype blower for your car, you are probably getting seen by the right people. Google his 03 Cobra in MM&FF. He showed up with the thing on his car and no one had even seen one yet! How many people can say that? LOL

  • @Z287899 *shrug*.. I deal with Mike over at Kenne Bell all the time. I had a 2.8 liter LC on a Lightning before anyone other than JLP did. Have you ever heard of me? No.. That doesn't mean anything, and it doesn't mean that I need to call out shops that have earned respect. That's not the way that you make a name for yourself.. at least not a good one.
