for those of you who were wondering I did take this video in HL2 Deathmatch not Gmod. Though you can use it in Gmod if you put the map in Gmod's map folder for the game. I wish i could remember where i downloaded the map and many others like it but i don't. srry. but just search around google. im sure youll find it

Wow, how did you get the stargate to engage using 8 chevrons? I didn't think 8 character addresses were possible in the Stargate mod.

Yes, I know that in the show, to make a direct connection to the Atlantis stargate, you have to engage an eighth chevron to denote another galaxy. I thought, before I downloaded the map, that this was just a map using the Stargate mod, but the stargate is built into this map, not a separate entity. In the stargate mod, you can't engage eight chevrons. I was just confused.

hey i'm can't remember the exact site that i got it from but its a map that can be used on Half-Life 2: Deathmatch, counter strike, and Garry's Mod. the Map name is dm_stargate_atlantis_b2-2. There are also a bunch of other great stargate maps which i will list for you below...
