  • You need very heavy weights, about 50 pounds, each. Yes, seriously, THAT much. The frequency is determined by the length of the arm. The duration of the total swing time is determined by the weight. Heavy weights are less influenced by the friction of the air and hinges. Therefor, improve on the hinges (minimal friction) and increase the weight (momentum). If you can adjust the height of the weights, you can add an interesting variable (swing speed) to this machine. You will love it !!

  • It runs down too quick. Needs better "bearings". Pro versions use a knife blade that each pendulum rocks back and forth on. Virtually no friction. Longer pendulums help, too.
