the move in the book does work, what happened is i stayed up till 2 in the morning playing with a computerized Rubik's cube and watching your videos on how to finished, my grandma got ticked off when she caught me and grounded me from the computer for a day, and she bought me the Rubik's cube the day i was grounded and i couldn't watch your videos to solve it so i used the book that came with it and i solved the Rubik's cube twice the algorithm is Ui,Fi,U,F,U,R,Ui,Ri

@joanneywoo that means u didnt match up your cross / corners with the other color each piece has, each piece mus be in the same spot there's no doubt about it, dont get a piece with Green-yellow in between green-orange, you'll mess up, no doubt

My problem with this step has to do with moving to the left. No matter which algorithm I use I always F it up. Is there an algorithm with which I could "move" it so it becomes a right movement? Thanks very helpful stuff by the way.

@CubanCubeFan So bro. The right move I show in this video is the easiest way of doing a right move. It's oppisite of a left move so if you have that down then I'm sure you can pull off a right move. If you need to do the moves while watching this video and follow me step by step and maybe pause the video as well.

I have the red and yellow piece at the opposite place for the first part of this step. The yellow is where the red should be and the red is where the yellow should be. Do I have to follow the other step?

@TaylorSwiftRocker77 i found out that both algorithms are actually the same but both are opposite to each other. it depends on the situation that you do that algorithm. I found this out on another YouTube Video "How to Solve a Rubik's Cube" by pogobat. It tells you almost every correct step the last part I tried like 3-4 times but I never got it solved.

In this case you need to go back to step 2 and make sure all of your green corners also match the other two colors. If you have a complete green side, but haven't matched the other colors your cube will not be solved.

This video is about the diffrent ways of doing the same thing. So just because you might not have something the same as me doesn't mean you cant solve it. If you have a yellow orange and yellow isn't on top then instead of putting orange next to it's center, put yellow next to it's center and then see if it needs to go right or left.

The whole Idea is that what ever color isn't on top is the one you need to line up with it's center and then do the step. Hope that helps.

Well thanks for what you said. The problem you have I do go over in this step. What you need to do is chose a egde piece that has blue on it and put in were the red yellow cube is by using a right or left move.

I`m at the part where you move the red and yellow middle block to the top of the red center but mine is between the red and yellow block but the yellow is at the red center and the red is at the yellow center.

Ok well later in the video I kind of go over this. However what you need to do is to do a right move of a blue peice so that the red yellow comes out of the middle layer and back on the top layer. so find a edge with blue on it then make it above red center, then do a right move and after that you'll see that the yellow red edge is now on the top layer so that you can work with it. hope that helps.

Thanks, I came up with my own notation. I gave all the inverted moves a new letter, to make it easy to remember, I gave the next letter alphabetically, so Ri=S

Li=M, and so on, except for Ui=A so it's still a vowel, and it's the next (back to the beginning) in the vowel list.

with my system now the algorithms make up funny words which are even easier to remember, such as

URASAGUF, AMULUFAG and URAMUSAL.

This should go under "R-cube for the dummiest of the dumb" (that's me)
