Thanks for sharing such a pretty method of using clay. I like you, have a fairly quiet voice, and really have to yell into my camera and then sometimes need to boost the audio track in my video editor. I had to turn the volume up on both your video and my speakers just to hear you. Though the background noises came out much louder than your voice. This is a great tutorial, thanks for sharing.
i don't know why people are complaining about not hearing you ...i can hear you just like as good as any video on u tube...maybe they should turn up the volume if they are so deaf......
The content, and the way you demonstrated on this video was awesome. Very useful and easy to follow. You have a good speaking voice, however, a better microphone may help. I had to turn my speakers all the way up to hear what you were saying. Hope to see more videos from you soon!
The audio seems very low on this video. I had to turn both volumes all the way up! Since I have never had to do that before, I forgot to turn them back down for the next vid and almost blew a speaker out, along with an ear drum! Can you please add an "annotation" at the beginning and the end saying "turn volume up and turn volume down?" That would be cool. Thanks:)
Sorry easy to listen to you voice... lol...that sounds weird, but seriously, EASY. Some tutorials I can barely watch due to the audio... Thank you.. and great tutorial!
Absolutely wonderful tutorial; serene, informative and I love the children's voices in the background. Thank you for taking the time to teach. New to poly, just joined the guild in my area. This adds to my growth and inspiration.
Hello MrsWright75 can you please upload the video you had up before where you showed how to polish polymer clay beads you show the machine and a few other tips I would like to see it again Please thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you very much for taking the time and trouble to do this, I could hear it just fine. Better to be clear and go through it for beginners than to rush it. Very useful.
I don't understand why you didn't just stamp it not so deep and then just roll over that a bit and use that instead of wasting nearly 10 minutes scraping all of the excess protuberances off. Seems like a waste of time to me.
This still makes perfect sense watching with the sound switched off. Skip ahead to 5:11 mins in and start from there.
She demonstrates very clearly how the technique works and takes her time to show everything that she's doing. The style is a real-time workshop rather than a video tutorial, so she takes much longer than a highly edited demo would, but the payoff is gaining a much more detailed understanding of what she's doing.
I love what you are doing, but I can hardly hear you, even when I turn my volume way up! I would love to have a microphone closer to you, or enhanced a little, so I can listen to your wonderful instructions! :D
you video is interesting. you if you're open to some constructive criticism; you talk way too much in the first half of the video. people want straight to the point, and clear instructions. volume is also another thing you should have a look at. When someone loads a video they're willing to sit through maybe the first 1/4 of talking. then they start to get bored, especially when it starts to sound like babbling. again this is constructive criticism. I think you're very talented.
I don't know why everyone is complaining. This is a great video and my friends are amazed at what I have produced from it! Now they want to learn...you don't really need to hear her, since she demonstrates everything wonderfully. I had my volume down and I understood what she was doing. You are basically putting a stamp to clay- it isn't that complicated. Stop being rude, unless you have better videos!
Keep creating MrsWright! I hope to see more. I've subbed you!
Wow. I stumbled upon your video while looking for dollhouse items to make with Fimo. I think now I'll try to use your mica shift technique with my dollhouse Fimo projects. Thank you SO much for the inspiration!
I like buying online from polymer clay express (.com) or the clay store (.com). Sometimes you can find small cutters at Hobby Lobby or Michael's in the cake decorating section also.
I had seen some other tutorials on mica shift and didn't get it. I thought this was very helpful. I plan to use this technique. It is cool. You demonstrated it beautifully.

wow this is a horrible video. i have my volume turned up all the way and i still cant hear you. also i agree with gotiknoir its MADDENING SLOW....you shouldnt do tutorials anymore.
Thanks for your mature, useful feedback Daniel. Perhaps you should stick to making EVER SO USEFUL videos of cats and immature teenager life and stay away from the grownup channels if we ANNOY you so much.
There is really no good bad clay. Air dry clay just doesn't require a kiln or an oven so if you don't have any of those air dry is best. Fimo is supposedly better and sculpting than Sculpey but most people use Sculpey. You can easily let it air dry in thin sheets to get it firm.
FYI: this is an edited version of an old video. Before youtube had a chance to "mute" it for using Bob Marley music in the background, I decided to upload a new version. This version is 6 minutes shorter! Less of my ramblings...more tutorial! :)
@mommyqueen Most of the complaining is not complaining. As a general rule, the consensus is that this video is well organized, easy to follow, and shows a wonderful technique. I agree that she needs a better microphone. I want to hear what she is saying, because it is informative, and interesting. Relax.
