  • Thanks for sharing such a pretty method of using clay. I like you, have a fairly quiet voice, and really have to yell into my camera and then sometimes need to boost the audio track in my video editor. I had to turn the volume up on both your video and my speakers just to hear you. Though the background noises came out much louder than your voice. This is a great tutorial, thanks for sharing.

  • Thank you that was a well done tutorial. Don't worry about those who could not turn up the volume on their systems...

  • stopped listening at the first whisper. About 5 seconds into it. Sorry, it sounded like it would be a good video, but I can't hear you at all.

  • i don't know why people are complaining about not hearing you ...i can hear you just like as good as any video on u tube...maybe they should turn up the volume if they are so deaf......

  • i could listen to you talk for hours your voice is so gentle and soothing......

  • The content, and the way you demonstrated on this video was awesome. Very useful and easy to follow. You have a good speaking voice, however, a better microphone may help. I had to turn my speakers all the way up to hear what you were saying. Hope to see more videos from you soon!

  • WHAT?

  • Thank you! Great video and very helpful.

  • Why are you whispering??? Cool video

  • The audio seems very low on this video. I had to turn both volumes all the way up! Since I have never had to do that before, I forgot to turn them back down for the next vid and almost blew a speaker out, along with an ear drum! Can you please add an "annotation" at the beginning and the end saying "turn volume up and turn volume down?" That would be cool. Thanks:)

    BOP

  • Thank you.

  • So easy to listen to your voice. Thank you and great tutorial!

  • Sorry easy to listen to you voice... lol...that sounds weird, but seriously, EASY. Some tutorials I can barely watch due to the audio... Thank you.. and great tutorial!

  • Could you please redo this video with your voice. Did you know that we can't hear you speaking? Maybe something wrong with your speakers.

  • Really want to watch but cannot hear you at all. Even with volume up 100% and headphones on. :(

  • no volume? :-(

  • U r so cute :*

    I really like you ;)

  • i cant hear u!

  • Говорите громче

  • AWESOME thank you :) xo

  • your volume sucks

  • Could not hear !!! Therefore, this video was of no use to me!!!!!!!

  • Absolutely wonderful tutorial; serene, informative and I love the children's voices in the background. Thank you for taking the time to teach. New to poly, just joined the guild in my area. This adds to my growth and inspiration.

  • Ohmygosh! I love this technique! So simple and so beautiful! Thank you for this video :D

  • thanks for the tutorial.... but i think it's too slow!!!, and i could not hear you..

  • thanks for the tutorial. but i think it's too slow!!!, and could not hear you...

  • Hello MrsWright75 can you please upload the video you had up before where you showed how to polish polymer clay beads you show the machine and a few other tips I would like to see it again Please thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Good video but couldnt here ANYTHING!!Speak up!!

  • LOUDEST VIDEO EVER!

  • Thank you very much for taking the time and trouble to do this, I could hear it just fine. Better to be clear and go through it for beginners than to rush it. Very useful.

  • what type of polymer clay did you use? what color is it called?

  • @doghappy101 me too wanna now ;)

  • Amazon have got some mini cookie cutters :D

  • I don't understand why you didn't just stamp it not so deep and then just roll over that a bit and use that instead of wasting nearly 10 minutes scraping all of the excess protuberances off. Seems like a waste of time to me.

  • Speak louder please, my speakers are up full and I am still struggling to hear you. Thanks for the vid tho :)

  • Very long video but great outcome! I know what I'm trying this weekend!

  • aaaak, I can't hear it and I really want to learn this!

  • that is just about the coolest thing i've ever seen!

  • This still makes perfect sense watching with the sound switched off. Skip ahead to 5:11 mins in and start from there.

She demonstrates very clearly how the technique works and takes her time to show everything that she's doing. The style is a real-time workshop rather than a video tutorial, so she takes much longer than a highly edited demo would, but the payoff is gaining a much more detailed understanding of what she's doing.

  • Couldn't hear a thing, too bad.

  • Thank you for this video! Very good work! :D

  • I love what you are doing, but I can hardly hear you, even when I turn my volume way up! I would love to have a microphone closer to you, or enhanced a little, so I can listen to your wonderful instructions! :D

  • you video is interesting. you if you're open to some constructive criticism; you talk way too much in the first half of the video. people want straight to the point, and clear instructions. volume is also another thing you should have a look at. When someone loads a video they're willing to sit through maybe the first 1/4 of talking. then they start to get bored, especially when it starts to sound like babbling. again this is constructive criticism. I think you're very talented.

  • i love your video but i was wanting to know where did u get your stamps which store or ebay and what are they called? i love them!

  • Maybe this was asked already, but why is there a doll hanging by a noose in the background?

  • Wow your video was excellent. Very clear and easy to follow. Thank you . I am new to Polymer clay and cant wait to get started.

  • Your so quiet i have to turn my computer up to full volume to hear you! I dont mean to be rude but could you please speak up!

  • my god, are you real

  • the sound is sooooooooooooooo low

  • MrsWright, could you show us how you would apply the extra pieces? I think that would be a unique video. I guess I'm more of a visual person.

  • I don't know why everyone is complaining. This is a great video and my friends are amazed at what I have produced from it! Now they want to learn...you don't really need to hear her, since she demonstrates everything wonderfully. I had my volume down and I understood what she was doing. You are basically putting a stamp to clay- it isn't that complicated. Stop being rude, unless you have better videos!

Keep creating MrsWright! I hope to see more. I've subbed you!

  • Do you have a blog? I'd love to follow you. I'm always working with polymer clay!

  • you are soooo pretty (L)

  • Totally cool :D I'd never heard of this technique till now and it's totally bitchin :D

Also, I have my computer on mute, and it was totally obvious what to do :3

Very easy to follow tutorial and very nice color of clay :3

    5/5 and fave'd for future reference :333333

also, you're cute as all get out :D xD

  • Thankyou for sharing your tecniques!

  • I love your butterfly (?) tattoo! It's so cute!

  • what brand of clay is this?

  • You have a wonderful voice and way of explaining things ... very precise but not over doing it. Attention to detail is amazing, thank you

  • Great tutorial. I was never able to understand what mica shift was from a book, seeing it really explained it. Thanks

  • Your way of talking is very helpful for ppl like me (who are learning english and polymer clay uses as well). Keep on teaching us! ;)

  • Your speaking TOO low! Great video but my volume is all the way up and I can BEARLY hear you...

  • Wow. I stumbled upon your video while looking for dollhouse items to make with Fimo. I think now I'll try to use your mica shift technique with my dollhouse Fimo projects. Thank you SO much for the inspiration!

  • Wow this is cool :) Jw where did youget your cookie cutters from?

  • I like buying online from polymer clay express (.com) or the clay store (.com). Sometimes you can find small cutters at Hobby Lobby or Michael's in the cake decorating section also.

  • @SCcaughtoncam You can get mini cookie cutters from Amazon :D

  • I had seen some other tutorials on mica shift and didn't get it. I thought this was very helpful. I plan to use this technique. It is cool. You demonstrated it beautifully.

  • Thank you. :) I hope you enjoy trying it out.

  • Thanks for your mature, useful feedback Daniel. Perhaps you should stick to making EVER SO USEFUL videos of cats and immature teenager life and stay away from the grownup channels if we ANNOY you so much.

  • LOL

  • I have to agree... VERY low... Mine is all the way up also!

  • Wow you're so pretty.

  • from where i can buy cheaper clay?

which clay is good polymer clay or air dry clay?

  • There is really no good bad clay. Air dry clay just doesn't require a kiln or an oven so if you don't have any of those air dry is best. Fimo is supposedly better and sculpting than Sculpey but most people use Sculpey. You can easily let it air dry in thin sheets to get it firm.

  • maddeningly slow.

  • good info but very hard to hear you ...baby sleeping?

  • WOW! Great tutorial - really took my fear away from doing this. Please do more tutorials.

  • Great technique! Now my pearl clay has a use :D

  • You're gorgeous and absolutely adorable. :']

    NOHOMO

    hehe

  • this is great! I've been trying to think of something to use my silver colored polymer clay for. now I do!

  • babe yuo need to turn up your volume. i couldnt hear a word you said...and it aint my machine either.

  • i like your videos you should make more

  • Hi Everyone!

FYI: this is an edited version of an old video. Before youtube had a chance to "mute" it for using Bob Marley music in the background, I decided to upload a new version. This version is 6 minutes shorter! Less of my ramblings...more tutorial! :)

  • People should not complain about getting FREE instructional videos. If you are so smart do it yourself. For goodness sake grow up.

  • @mommyqueen Not complaining about the video, just the volume. Relax!

  • @mommyqueen Most of the complaining is not complaining. As a general rule, the consensus is that this video is well organized, easy to follow, and shows a wonderful technique. I agree that she needs a better microphone. I want to hear what she is saying, because it is informative, and interesting. Relax.

  • Great video! Subscribing! A better microphone will help us hear you better, what you have to say is informative and valuable.
