But the pain of its loss in a moment is somehow less than a lifetime lived in fear of loosing it at some distant time. Maybe the pain of lost love is a greater and more beautiful thing than love that fades with time.

I hadnt seen this movie since I was a teenager - forgot how great it was! they dont make them like this anymore - the chemistry between Reno & Portman was simply tantalising - such a beautiful relationship between a man & a young girl - I wish such a thing could exist today without the cynical eye of society - it wasnt love - it wasnt sex - it was way beyond that! 

It was life - beautiful & brutal all at the same time:)

Awesome, sad ending to an epic movie. Every time I watch this, I think about how lonely she must feel, knowing that just 24 hours before Leon was there playing and laughing with her. But now shes there with that plant, in that shiny day, before the sunset. OUCH.
