  • @gillstar34 Less than one...

  • @myelectroncloud nvm my comment.cuz i found that the most massive is this star. and the VYCMa is the largest.

  • @gillstar34 that stands for VY Canis Majoris A and yes this is the BIGGEST star ever. it is at the end of its life so will die in around 5 million years. thats why it is sooo massive because when a star dies it expands.

  • R136a1 vs VY Canis Majoris

  • @Findexer99 VY canis majoris wins by at least 1000000000 kms in diameter

  • @sala680 You are talking size, not mass. VY is less dense than the sun, even though it's bigger...

  • @sala680 fuck you, VY CANIS MAJORIS HAS 3.050.000.000 IN DIAMETER AND LESS MASSE THAN SUN, R136A1 HAS 40.000.000 IN DIAMETER BUT 265 SOLAR MASSES!!! 40.000.000 KM X 265= 10.600.000.000 KM IN DIAMETER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! STUPID

  • @TheNogeman im not talking about mass (u spelled it wrong) im talkiing about size and you have just proved my point. VYCM is dying and is expanding into nothing.

  • @Findexer99 No contest! 136 is a blue star at 265 solar masses. VY is a red giant at less than 1 solar mass...

  • @myelectroncloud were not talkin mass were talkin size. thats cause VY is nearly dead.

  • @sala680 You are wrong my friend. VY Canis Majoris was a main sequence star that used up all its hydrogen and is now burning helium. The energy it produces is greater than its gravity, so the star expands. As it does so it sheds mass. So, while it is bigger, it has less than 1 solar mass. This is an old star. R136a1 is a new star at the beginning of its main sequence, and is 265 solar masses. So it's more massive than VY, by at least 265 times. Size has nothing to do with mass...

  • @myelectroncloud Actually, VY CMa is estimeted at around 30-40 solar masses!

  • to bad we can`t see a damn thing really >,>

    but fun news

  • SO?

  • Amazing ,thanks for uploading!!!
