The Lakers roster has grown so much since 04'!
This in my mind is now the best team not only in the west, but the whole nba! They are gonna be unstoppable when Bynum comes back, just look at this sick roster: Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol, Andrew Bynum, Lamar Odom, Sasha Vujacik (Great Shooter), Derek Fisher, Vladimir Radmonovich, Jordan Farmar, Luke Walton (good defender), it's so exciting to see the Lakers slowly return back to prominence, what a great time to be a Laker fan!

I ddefinately see what you're sayin, if Kobe was 100%, and a few other guys were back I would say their roster is the best, but the best player in the game has a bad pinky on the shooting hand so I'd say there are a few better teams like Detroit, Phoenix, and San Antonio. But when healthy, they on paper are the best.

How so? We traded Shaq for Odom, Butler, and a 1st round draft pick. We kept Odom, traded butler for Kwane, which we traded for Gasol, and used that draft pick to get Farmar. So in the aftermath of the Shaq trade, we essetially got Gasol, Odom, and Farmer for a fat Shaq.
