If memory serves me right, and the memory isn't what it use to be I believe he did this in the later part of the 80's Perhaps 85-87 somewhere. Yes, I love Trial by Fire also, but then I also loved ROR too. His registry could be down in the basement and I would still love the quality and his vocals, even that raspyness that crept in after so many years of wear and tear on the chords!

Randy had a comment that has been on his Facebook biography for awhile that he was working on the latest 'Steve Perry Project', but he hasn't responded to requests for more info. They had such a successful collaboration on Street Talk that I wish he or someone could light a fire under Steve to actually record the demo music he said in January and in other interviews that he has. Other older artists, like Sade, Mavis Staples, etc. do it-so can SP!!

I am fully aware that no one is perfect. I don't know if you are difficult or not. That is your opinion of yourself which is obviously bias and not an opinion by others. But I do know from all that I have read and numerous other sources, that Steve could be. He is a pefectionist by nature and was an only child, that tells you something right there. It does not diminish his talent in the least. But as I said, no matter how difficult he may be, I would love to give it go with him.
