o man first of all i dont know why anyone would compare american football with soccer. they are nothing alike. the most amazing sport is soley an american tradition and it is one of the things i am truly grateful for. soccer is great, but football is on a completely other level of excitement and strategy. i dont watch or play sports to see how tough my team is really. its more about hard work, dedication, and owning your position and getting the job done. it is tough on different levels.

When your talking about pure athletic ability you should be talking about NFL players, cause you say how Tiger Woods is a great athlete, lets see him bench 250 pounds 31 times, run a 4.7 forty, jump 39.5 inches, when he's right out of college like Orakpo, Lets see Tiger Woods do anything near that. Tiger Woods gets labled an athlete, and he's is a great athlete, but based on athletic ability no one is close to NFL players.

lineman dont weigh 400 pounds, and they can usually benchpress 400 pounds.
the fat lineman, ok maybe. the WR's that run 4.4 40 yard dashes. the QB's whos dominant arm is one of the strongest things in the game, the running backs who bench alot, run 4.5's, and usually have 35 inch verticals. the CB's that can catch the WR's that run 4.4's the safeties who run fast and hit hard the linebackers that can cause the same force as a 35 MPH car crash.
