  • this landing track is not bigger than a towel

  • Nice video! It brought back lots of memories, as my wife and I flew in this aircraft into Maimafu and Mengino featured in the clip, as well as Kora (the "aircraft carrier") and Guasu in association with the release of the Pidgin Godpod (a solar powered mp3 player with the complete audio Bible, plus i in Pidgin for non-readers.) A fantastic aircraft with fantastic pilots - Roger Millist, the CEO of AAS and Bennett.

  • nice vid, my grand dad built airstrips and bridges in the Highlands afte serving there on a catalina during the war (flew missions opposite the "Black Cats"). He built the highest airfield in the country at a hill named Tapinini..( Im not sure about the spelling) The areial pics ive seen of it resemble the strip shown here. Geat vid, great plane, cheers!

  • I want one

  • Just done three awesome weeks of flying HDA operations with choppers in PNG. Seen the runways and those XL750's in action. Great and challenging place to fly and a great Aircraft.

  • nice vid,i love the 750xl there the best, what airports are they

  • i was part of the manufacturing and assembling crew of this very great amazing aircraft that has taken the world by storm

  • Praise God for the 7th Day Adventist Church and its 22 million members around the world. The church members get out and work for the glory of God and his divine plan on the planet. The XL 750 is a great New Zealand aeroplane design

  • 5 stars! My only question about the aircraft is regarding their decision to use such small diameter wheels, why would they do this? At least compared to planes like the PC-6 and others.. just seems like it'd be easier to catch a hole or something and snap.

  • That's a wheely good question, I'll get back to you

  • The wheels really arent small at all - they are about the same size as the PC6 mainwheels - the aircraft just looks bigger in comparison.

  • My guess is, that the wheels were kept small to reduce the overall drag of the airframe.

  • @EstorilEm possibly for the lower drag in flight.

  • @EstorilEm it's worthy to note that this design is based on many decades of experience with both the Fletcher and the Cresco... the spec is proven and I don't think tundra tyres are needed in most places where they are flying into, though if required I'm sure they could be fitted.

  • @gdeaconnz They do have an option for large tires 29" dia with about another 50% larger footprint on them. There is also a larger nose wheel option which uses the standard main tire.

  • great flying. i am surprised that they are using a tricycle gear airplane instead of a taildragger. kudos for the pilot for doing a great job on the weight and balances.

  • now those are dodgy airstrips!keep on doing the good work

  • These people also grow cannabis Indica as a cash crop! Dr Charles Follen McKim Maloney was heading to the largely pristine rainforest of the eastern Highlands of Papua New Guinea in his hot air balloon when he vanished in October 1981.

  • yeh, and?

  • yeh and yerself tomass123! u sarcastic tit.

  • Excellent video editing... Love Misionary Aviation, and of course, I love my religion! May God continue to bless them!
