seriously everybody, it's a wordplay. 1 round the Earth means next to each other, don't you think so? it means they're sitting next to each other but they feel like it's far far awayy
I luv this song! I went to Vietnam because I am Vietnamese I am not from there though My Parents are!!!!!!!!! I remember ME listening to this song while on the computer like 1 million times! Listen to the Remix!
However we did not make a word for word literal translation. As to say "one around the earth" first is not proper English. and second it does not fit to the other dialect of the song, as then how could the part that is talking about both sides of the earth sitting next to each other come into play ? and also destroy the part where they are talking about the shortest distance is around the earth?
For a literal translation, we would have translated things quite different. Like the word "Anh", which in literal translation means "older brother" and the word "Em" means "younger sister" So seeing that we were making a meaningful translation for the full understanding of the English speaking person, we felt it better to not translate literally, as the Normal English speaking person would think that the this song was about a Younger sister that was romantically inlove with her older brother.
@LUVYOURSKIN : Sorry, you are totally wrong. I'm a Vietnamese so I understand what the lyric means. It is true that "anh" and "em" can be related to "brother" and "sister". However, they are very common way to address people. In this lyric, "anh" and "em" both mean "you" or "darling" or "honey". "Anh" is a way that a girl would call her lover. And "em" is how a man would call his lover.
So there is no family incest nature in this lyric.
@LUVYOURSKIN somehow ur translation is kinda off. if i was not mistaken, the line "our love was destined thousand years before " suppose 2 b promise to love each other till thousand years later... just commenting! nothin 2 b taken personal
To be technically correct, going around the Earth to the right is not the longest distant, because its the same as going slightly to the left. Across the Earth is the greatest distant on this Earth.
the translation was suck

You're wrong, my friend!
The name of this song is "1 round of the Earth", not "1/2", and they are both Vietnamese.
Anyway, thank you for the share! I love this song too! :)

Yes you are almost correct.

No Not a good idea as it would sound a lot like a song about family incest
thanks for your comments though.

@LUVYOURSKIN It quite actually good, but the translation just doesn't match what the song really says.
