Ricky Wilson the guitarist was Cindy Wilson the blonde singers brother. Because there was not a bass in band , Ricky was innovative in that he had strings on only the 5,6,1,2 positions of the instrument. He died in the 80s I think. he was also responsible in forming the band.
Shut up Q, the first part was what is known as bootleg footage.
Bootleg implies not perfect. In the 70s it was even harder to get perfect quality, just look at how some of the Elvis Presley clips from the 70s look, a whole lot of motion blur.
Too much! Hot hot HOT! SFFG is great as well - lipsynching - it's too funny and cool! The audience after RL is fantastic to hear from those early years - what an impact on the music/fashion scene in '78
video was really suffering in the 70's 80's lol

Thanks for the info spaceblanket & berndawg123. Do you suppose that Ricky's death was the primary reason why Cindy left the band?
I know it was some time after his death, and I'm sure there were other things that factor in.
genXer3 3 years ago
Cindy never left the band, She was absent from the band in the recording for their Good Stuff album though.

The guy, bottom right- "Ricky" died sometime during their peak. I'm not sure from what though. Great party band.
genXer3 3 years ago
he unfortunately passed away from aids in 1985
berndawg123 3 years ago
I think if he were alive for "Cosmic Thing", it might not have been the "dish of ice cream" it turned out to be.

It does look like 1918! Which is fantastic. I love the idea that Edison was the first to film the Bs.

Why not edit Part two and Part one together to get most of Rock Lobster together, then post video of "Song for a Future Generation" separately?
sks939 4 years ago
looks like 1918 not 1978. I think Edison recorded the first part
