@dvd7211 No, I don't think so. It was written by Gordon Gano (copyright 1978) and a lot of his stuff is usually personal in some way. He tends not to give any clues at all what his songs are really about. I personally think it's about a close friend.

Nny lives in a house that has a monster on the other side of a wall, and he has to keep the wall coated in fresh blood otherwise the monster comes through. He dispises blood and all bodily fluids, but he has to kill people to feed the wall.
